Have you guys been following the news on these concerts? It's sounding exciting. Here's an interview with the producers. The concerts will be "full-on multimedia events", with accompanying video like in the E3 presentation, and they'll consist of about 80 minutes of music.

Well, I'm jealous! I hope it at least goes to Mexico for the world tour, just to the north of here.

Just thought I'd post a quick Legend of Zelda victory dance! I just returned from the London event, and I can confirm it was incredible! Eiji Aonuma and Koji Kondo were there, and we got a bonus Zelda Williams hosting as well! The undisputed highlight of the entire show was, surprisingly, The Wind Waker Symphonic Movement. Accompanied by gameplay footage from throughout, it was an expertly delivered piece that left everyone with a tingly feeling, and some tears (I just got the tingly feeling, but oh well!) A lot of Majora's Mask love as well. Several ocarina songs were included in the Ocarina Medley Suite along with a lot of OoT ones... and then two more songs showed up in the Selected Shorts suite. More on that in a mo. One thing that bothered me was that there were two Spirit Tracks songs uncomfortably mixed in, but absolutely nothing from Zelda II, Link's Awakening or Phantom Hourglass (let alone the Four Swords series, Minish Cap and other spinoffs). The Selected Shorts Suite listing is from memory as the tracks don't appear in the programme, but they were... mostly... 1. Legend of Zelda - Dungeon 2. Legend of Zelda - Final Dungeon 3. A Link to the Past - Lost Woods 4. Ocarina of Time - Inside the House 5. Majora's Mask - Mayor's Office 6. Ocarina of Time - Hyrule Castle (Avoiding the Soldiers) 7. Majora's Mask - Milk Bar ...Then I forget, because the Majora's Mask love was too strong. I knew I should have written them down! Oh, and the Gerudo Valley orchestral remix worked way better than I expected it to... I managed to get hold of the 25th anniversary Link poster as well. I was one of the first people to get into the venue and they were already running out of posters by the time I got mine. And I went straight to the counter! So glad I got one though! Horribly pricey! Koji Kondo played Grandmother's Theme from Wind Waker on the piano. Poor fella certainly isn't a natural public speaker, and quickly gave way to Aonuma... who spoke through a translator, but often got carried away and forgot we couldn't speak Japanese. Finally, it finished with the Skyward Sword theme and a very blatant push to buy the game. Let's be honest, everyone in that audience already has it pre-ordered... A fantastic night, worth every penny! If the World Tour is near you next year, I can't recommend it enough!

I'm glad you like it, I hope the tour comes to Alberta of BC next year.
Though you better clear your schedule Fry, next years concert will have more movements than this one.

I didn't eat much all day, so there weren't many movements at this... OH WAIT, I see what you mean ;D I would gladly go and see this again, and the chances of there being even more music would really make it worthwhile. Especially if they finally include Zelda II and Link's Awakening Honestly... I know Koji Kondo didn't write Link's Awakening, but it has one of the best 8-bit soundtracks ever written

it was an expertly delivered piece that left everyone with a tingly feeling, and some tears (I just got the tingly feeling, but oh well!) "Tingly," you say?

I've enjoyed what little I've heard via Youtube (beyond people CLAPPING in the middle of the performance). XD Glad you enjoyed yourself, Fry!

The UK event was much better behaved. When it started there was a bit of obnoxious whooping, but it settled down into people listening properly and waiting till the end to applause. However there were a couple of numbnuts playing "Last Clap" after the Twilight Princess medley Aonuma also said he was saddened that people recorded the LA performance. Shame on them!
