Capcom is apparently doing one of those corporate restructuring things, and that's never good for employees. In particular, it sounds like Capcom USA is being significantly trimmed, including (former) Senior VP Christian Svensson (seemingly at his own suggestion). (Source)
We've all criticized Capcom in recent years for various reasons, but I think it should be noted that most of the good things they've done recently were the result of Capcom USA. They were the ones that got Duck Tales Remastered in the works, brought classic arcade games like Darkstalkers and Dungeons & Dragons to digital distribution, and worked out the licensing nightmare that was Tatsunoko vs. Capcom so it could be released outside of Japan; all because they listened to what fans were asking for. Svensson must've had a difficult job being the target of a lot of angry fanboys, but I think he was very good for Capcom. He (and other Capcom USA staff) should be commended for getting something like Capcom-Unity off the ground to begin with, and establishing an unprecedented dialog directly between the company and its fans.
