I assume nobody is discussing NES Remix because it's so blatantly obvious. Sure enough, I have three stars on everything already, and Rainbow Stars on most things. What a game!
Anyway, the main game challenges are from:
Donkey Kong Donkey Kong Jr. Mario Bros. Golf Pinball Clu Clu Land Excitebike Balloon Fight Ice Climber Wrecking Crew Super Mario Bros. The Legend of Zelda
Bonus levels are taken from:
Baseball Tennis Donkey Kong 3 Urban Champion
The only other cameos I've noticed are on the Ice Climber and Tennis remix levels: Sometimes a Game Boy filter will be applied to them (which made me smile), and the final level of that particular Ice Climber stage also applies a Virtual Boy filter.
Some of the remixes are genius. I love trying to beat Donkey Kong levels in reverse with Luigi, or with a non-jumping Link. I wanted to scream at the "Run, Mario!" levels where you can't stop running. How's everyone else finding the game?

....Don't have a Wii U. Now I wish I have one now that games are coming out. I think the reason behind my non-ownership is well known by now.
Don't think this game needs a specific cameo thread here, since everything cameo-related is known by just going to its official website. The Virtual Boy filter is the only thing that's new to me here.

I also don't have a Wii U yet and know very little about this game...Looks pretty fun, though!

NES Remix 2 has a hidden easter egg. If you press Start + Select + A + R on the game selection screen you'll unlock all the games and the puzzle clear jingle from LoZ will play.
