The game is apparently scheduled for April in Japan, but only 2015 in North America, so I assume the release will depend on localization time. I was hoping to hear the characters in English this time, but the trailer is still in Japanese with subtitles. Got my fingers crossed for another NoE localization, but NoA will probably handle it this time.
I love the original Xenoblade, even if it was a little too big. (I still finished it at 135+ hours.) Really looking forward to X, but at about five-times(?) the size... I don't know if I can handle that much Xenoblade!
On a side note, I was a little surprised that Monster Games is doing the N3DS version of the original Xenoblade, but I guess it makes sense. I wonder if 3DS ports is what Nintendo will use Monster Games for from now on.
On 26 February at 22:00 (UTC+9), there will be a new trailer showcasing the exploration of the wide game world.
Interestingly, they also stated that this game is rated C (15+) by CERO. Other examples of CERO:C include Fatal Frame and Monster Hunter (according to Niconico). Maybe Xenoblade X will contain animated blood?
The success of Xenoblade was absolutely a factor, but I think the success of Awakening also played a role. Those two games really showed NoA that there are still gamers who want quality games that aren't just Mario/Zelda. Especially after how games like Glory of Heracles and Golden Sun 3 were relatively poorly received (justified in Heracles' case).
