Help! Too much SSBB information make Samus ZERO go crazy! Im confused about the release dates/rumours floating around about Smash Bros Brawl. I initially thought that SSBB would be released in Spring 2007 (and I still do cuz its in early development right?) Well Play.com and Amazon.com have got it dated at November 2006 / December 2006 (November 2006!? The Wii isn't even out yet Amazon!) Anyways what do you guys think on the matter? Even IGN rumours at a "Launch" release of SSBB (but this is IGN, so anything goes) 2006 is outta the question right? Thanks for listening to my ravings

IMO, a 2006 release of SSBB (true or not) could lead to spoilers for some of the games. I'm talking especially about TLoZ, because we already know the Link we saw in the trailer is the one from TP, assuming Link and the TLoZ stages will indeed be based on TP.

Those websites are wrong.
The SSBB website says it will be completed some time in 2007, and that we can expect updates on the game's progress next year.
I would hazard a guess and say even Spring 2007 is a bit hopeful.

Spring 2007 is, what, March-May, right? I doubt it. My money has always been on about October or November next year. Feel free to quote me when I'm proven right.

Yeah I guess your right. I wouldn't be surprised at a late 2007 release, and it doesnt bother me either as long as the game itself kicks ass. Besides, with all the upcoming releases for DS and Wii over the this year and next - I'm sure everyone will have a ton of stuff to keep them occupied.

Me, being the eternal pessimist, reckon we won't see SSBB released until June-July 2007.

Remember, if it's not on the official SSBB page, it's most likely not true. "Innocent until proven guilty;" that's the attitude you've gotta take in the face of the game. Sakurai stated for a fact that it'd be 2007, so we just gotta wait for the time to come.

No. And even if we did, it'd be no good, because he doesn't read English and is HIGHLY unlikely to reveal anything to a random fan who emailed him.

I believe that Spring 2007 is a little bit too early. Perhaps Spring 2007 is the time Sakurai reveals more info at E307.

I believe that Spring 2007 is a little bit too early. Perhaps Spring 2007 is the time Sakurai reveals more info at E307. Be a good idea, if not for the fact that E3 no longer exists. Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony pulled their support from it, remember? It got cancelled, then rescheduled as a much smaller, more private show that most likely won't involve first-party Nintendo projects. More info will probably formulate in the body of gradually-released movies a la YouTube or game sites like IGN (think last month's SSBB video with Fox in it), or, as I said before, on the SSBB official page.

I doubt Oct. unless there is a delay in the process. We've seen actually footage, so I say summer, but it may interest you as Matt from IGN sayed May 2007.

I actually agree with October-November. The development team obviously needs as much time as possible to work on it to make sure that it is indeed a perfect addition to the SSB series, and what game besides Brawl would be the perfect killer-app for Fall 2007?
I'd say May is a more likely release date for Super Mario Galaxy and/or Pokemon Battle Revolution.

I'm still going for a SSBB June/July/August release, with Galaxy being released in late May/early-to-late April.

I imagine Metroid Prime 3 will be our early 2007 release, Super Mario Galaxy our mid-2007 release, and SSB:M the end-2007 release. Mix and match other games in between as you will.
