Nintendo has hinted about the possibility of new Wii channels. I thought of a few.
Movie Channel GPS Channel Live Help Channel (talk to a live Nintendo rep via your remote mic and TV!) Update Channel (get updates of your favorite games pending installation) Storage Channel (to store more Virtual Console games that are not cluttering the main screen).
Do you have other ideas?

Movie is good. I also think the storage channel should be called the "VC channel". I'd like to see the a "Coomunity Channel",. It would act like an AIM to organize chat rooms with the people on your Wii console. Maybe even give demos for games via wifi.

Coomunity? As in a group of owls? ;D I was always a little disappointed that Nintendo's online plans didn't include game achievements. I would have liked the incentive to play through my games and then to have those achievements as spending "money" to buy new things - maybe even more VC games. So completing Zelda could have unlocked Zelda 1 for purchase, for example. And Nintendo could have made this purchase area into a little town or something, populated by Miis.

No.... they DO make online games. Look at Pokémon Battle Revolution. And actually, I don't really like the channel idea. It's making the game itself (disc channel) look less significant. This is what I want it to look like: ...aka the DS menu style. And this.

I was kind of hoping for that too. I see Xbox people with Gamercards online, and I say to myself, "I want one of those, but for the Wii!"

I know they make online games, but I was hoping for rewards for accomplishments in those games that could then be spent outside of the games. X-Box has this feature, and I'm rather fond of the idea. Sometimes I need some incentive to take down the last boss

Why a GPS channel? Is your Wii mobile? Mine tends to go only to three places: my room, my brother's room, and my friends' house (and even then I don't think I've actually taken it there yet).
I like the idea of rewards for beating games. Maybe a further reward becomes available for 100% completion...but then again, a game should be worthwhile enough that beating it alone is plenty of a reward. (However, afore mentioned friend suggests that getting accessories for Miis from beating games would be a nice touch, like a Link hat or pointy ears.)

I'd like a good solid mp3 player with the usual features. Having to use the Photo Gallery bites.

A GPS channel is because I'm sort of a "roadgeek". Think an up-to-date Google Earth on the Wii, except with traffic measurements and construction zones.
I also think there should be a reward system (spend say 120000 Wii points and get a free Wii game!)

This may be a little off-subject (please forgive me), but did you know that the Nintendo Wii got recalled?

No, I didn't know that. Would you like to know why I didn't know that? Because it never happened.

I think he's confused. It wasn't the Wii that got recalled, it was the wrist strap. And it's not being recalled, just replaced. (That is, Nintendo doesn't want them back, they're just sending out new ones.)

This may be a little off-subject (please forgive me), but did you know that the Nintendo Wii got recalled? Stop making irrelevant posts in other discussions. If it's unrelated, then post it somewhere where it IS related! You have done this too many times. I am not far away from giving you a final warning. Sort it out, or I will.

I must say a Music Channel isn't that bad of an idea. Nay, it's a great idea. With the SD memory card you can have some musuic you get from your computer. It would be nicve, expecially if you have better speakers on your TV or something.
