When you play a GCN or certain Wii games with a vertical position, does it ever make noises when it loads even the smallest bit of a speaking part? Or is it a faulty system I've had?

Not me. I always play mine vertical and my Wii is as good as when I got it.

My Gamecubes makes sounds when it loads... sounds. Always has. I'm not sure about my Wii, though...

Mine is quite noisy if it has a disc in it. It whirrs louder. But doesn't seem to mean anything  |

Ah thanks. Right now it's making a loud then soft then loud "Whrrrrrr" noise as I'm playing Smash so..yeah. Glad it's not malfunctioning, never been THIS noisy. Or I was just not listening to the game's tunes so low.
