Gah, have you seen the Final Fantasy game? That does not look like 15 dollar game. It might be shorter than the usual Crystal Chronicles or something.

As far as I know, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King is a country-building simulator. Rather than play as a hero, you play as a king and try to help the community grow and prosper. There seems to be a story to it, as well, with some evil creature that opposes you. Here's another new Japanese trailer for it. I still think it sounds fun.

Here's a few more WiiWare games that the rest of you might be interested in. LostWinds a interesting platformer game in which you control a character (with left to right movement) using the Nunchuck and a wind sprirt with the Wii controller which you use to make your character jump, fight enemies and solve puzzles. The game plays a little bit like Kirby: Canvas Course. LostWinds Website.World of Goo. This game is based on the an early prototype named Tower of Goo. This game is about building a structure out of Goo balls to reach a pipe and get a certain number of unused Goo balls to the into the pipe. The game has a Tim Burton like style to it. Here is the trailer for the game and 35 minutes of (PC) World of Goo footage.World of Goo website.Enternity's Child is a side scrolling platform game that looks very interesting and will also have co-op as well. It will also only cost 500 Wii points making the game a real bargain. Link to the creator's MySpace page.Defend Your Castle is based off the flash game of the same name and is not a port. The game has been given one heck of a graphical makeover, 4 player co-op and cool new gameplay mechanics. It will cost 500 Wii points as well. Creator looks emo, but Eternity's Child does look like a kickass game, so I might get it.

Creator looks emo, but Eternity's Child does look like a kickass game, so I might get it. Luc Bernard is definitly not emo, his Eternity's Child game is based off a fairy tale he created. All the games he is working on a sort of like darkish fairy tales. Just recently his upcoming DS game "Imagnation is the only escape" got banned by Nintendo of America because it mentions the Holocaust. Also I fixed my previous post up so the images are now viewable.

When the hell did everybody become so cheap? Maybe because the Sony store (just an example) sells whole PSOne games for $6 (with the exception of Castlevania SotN which is $10 but...) Yeah, exactly. When I can buy an Xbox game for $20 (AU$), $15 for Pokemon Ranch is ridiculous. Some of the above games look much better, and seem to have much better pricing structures, too. I hope for more like that (assuming these ones aren't ridiculously lacking in content for the bargain prices)

Here's a few more WiiWare games that the rest of you might be interested in Alright, this is more like it. I remember seeing World of Goo before, I'll probably end up downloading that. Lostwinds looks pretty decent aswell and I support EC's price tag. Waiting for the reviews first though.

Defend Your Castle looks bloody brilliant! I love the look of it, especially when compared to the original.
LostWinds looks interesting, especially if the play mechanics are puzzled up as ingeniously as Kirby: Canvas Curse.
World of Goo could be addictive, though I'm not a huge fan of its cheap Flash-style presentation.
Eternity's Child looks like a big pile of amateurish arse.
My 2 cents ;D

Well remember these games were designed for download. You can't expect the same quality as a disc game.

I've come here to say only one thing: "hElth" > you
And seeing as Nintendo would probably charge us 500 Wii Points for the original NES version I think 1000 Wii Points is an okay price.

If only Tetris and Dr. Mario for the SNES would be in the VC lineup.

That castle one and Eternity's Child are both on my wishlist More news: some of the puzzle games have confirmed they'll be providing seperate "expansion pack" downloads. The LONPOS one will cost 500 Wii Points, exactly half the price of the original game.

Here's another WiiWare title that's been announced recently that will also use DLC, SPOGS Racing. Here's some info about the game below. "In driver’s ed, they teach you that crashing into other vehicles is bad form. SPOGS Racing, from D2C Games, takes a different tack. By careening into your competitors’ unusually shaped SPOGS Racers, you can take their parts - pre-owned engines, brakes, tailpipesm etc. - and use the spoils to upgrade your own ride. The automotive pick-pocketing takes place in a dozen venues, including traditional racing ovals, road courses, and stunt tracks. When you’re not busy going SPOG-to-SPOG with rivals, you’ll fly off ramps and negotiate loops (also recommended in your driver’s ed class). Obviously, the SPOGS Racers are not your parents’ Camry. They’re designed to spin, drift, flip over, and (most of all) crash a lot. They’re also equipped with six kinds of weapons, which you can use to slow down your opponents so that you can mug them. The title uses your choice of three control schemes, one of which is what has become the standard for motion control in driving games - you hold the remote horizontally with both hands and tilt it to steer. In addition to quick races, you can enjoy the game in Battle mode (essentially a nonstop series of collisions) and Season mode (which sees you through races on every track.)" Link. Also here is an interview with the creator of the game, who also created EA's Madden franchise.
