I think this is a Classic Nintendo thread don't you?
I managed to do this once. It's tricky, but once you're there it's just... well... a bit boring really. How many times can a person do the underwater level!
Still, possibly one of the world's more famous glitches.

I heard the minus world in the FDS version has more levels.

I believe if you go to www.videogamedc.com there is a flash movie in four parts called The Rise of the Mushroom Kingdom. In either the first of second part, they make a humorous reference to the minus world glitch. But the movies are worth seeing even without that.

VGDC... They hold good but explicit sprite based Flash movies. I was somehow inspired by them, (of course I can't make movies at THAT quality - I won't spend 2 full weeks on a single Flash) and if they make things more family-friendly than it would be great.
But, taking about only The Rise of Mushroom Kingdom series, great.
Do this exist in the Famicom Mini game?

Check over at the Mushroom Kingdom. They list the differences between different versions of the Mario games.

On the glitches pages they list whether they are fixed in the All-Stars and DX versions, but not the Famicom Mini version.

They fixed a lot of the grammatical errors (or "Engrish") in the NES Classics Zelda. So they're not all identical.

The Minus World remains in the GBA incarnations. From the little time I had with the NES Classics SMB, I didn't notice any changes.

The GBA versions & even The Legendary Collection of Zelda hold true to the originals. Even in Zelda 1 on the GCN, it slows down with too many enemies on the screen. Sad.
