Speaking of South Park, while not a Nintendo reference there is an episode where the boys dress up as the tooth fairy to try and get money for a Dreamcast, another episode where Kenny's overplaying of the PSP causes him to be sent to heaven to fight off the demon army, and the most recent episode from the US which is about the boys trying to stop a madman that threatens to kill everyone and eventually destroy the world.... of Warcraft.

As long as we're talking about cartoons, I remember an episode of that old Muppet Babies cartoon where they play a video game system called "Pretendo". They make mention of games such as Super Mario Bros, Son of Super Mario Bros (I assume a reference to Donkey Kong Jr), Super Mario Bros Second Cousin, The Legend of Emelda, The Adventure of Sausage Link, and the infamous Skateboard to Doom.

I remember that episode. It sounds like they were aware of Return of Mario Bros. on the Famicom.
Anyway, to contribute to the thread, in an episode of Nickelodeon's My Life as a Teenage Robot, there's a couple of guys called "Tha Mad Hammer Bros." who look just like Wario and Waluigi. They even talk in Italian accents and the "jump" sound effect from SMW is used when they jump.

I'm a real simpsons fan. I've seen every single episode. I remember one where Mr Burns plays Ms. Pacman.

^a diamond shaped Ms. Pacman, no less.
Speaking of Pacman, theres a pacman machine in the break room in Scrubs, and one episode has a subplot about how Dr. Kelso plays Pacman to relax.
And, speaking of Scrubs... "I'd like to play John Madden Football on her Xbox"

There's also the Simpsons where Bart thinks about stealing a videogame, and Mario, Luigi, Donkey Kong and Sonic all turn up to convince him to take it. Hahaha... Funny, I remember Mario and Luigi's voices being fairly accurate in that episode... But Mario's voice in Futurama was way off. OFF-TOPIC RAMBLING FOLLOWSI don't know if anybody'll remember me, since my presence before wasn't particularly large, but... this is my first post in.. months. Maybe almost a year, even! In this time I have learned that other online communities (mostly Sonic ones) suck. And this is about the only one I've ever been part of that wasn't crawling with idiots. So... I came back. I missed you, NinDB Forum.

Hi Kirbychu... of course I remember you.
Although I think it's rose-tinted glasses that make you remember Mario and Luigi's voices in The Simpsons as being accurate. They're not THAT close. Definitely not closer than the Mario in Futurama (which was actually pretty close I thought).

Really? I remember Mario's voice in Simpsons being quite high-pitched and... Mario-sounding, while the Futurama was quite a bit deeper. Then again, I have the Futurama episode and not the Simpsons one... maybe it's just the fact that I've seen the Futurama one more. I definately remember that the Simpsons voices for DK and Sonic were very much NOT accurate. Sonic sounded just like Krusty. EDIT: And apparently I haven't been gone for nearly as long as I'd thought. I guess I missed this place more than I thought. XD

"Why is there a pancake in the silverware drawer?" "I think you mean, why is there silverware in the pancake drawer?" "Wouldn't you want your loved ones to recive just as much treatment as everyone else" "Granma Dorin or Nana Hobbs, because Nana Hobbs can be a tad racist" Grandma Dorin" "Oh, Shes dead" Anywway speaking of Scrubs, Carla's brother also plays the same machine in the episode which he is in. Unless theres two.

Anywway speaking of Scrubs, Carla's brother also plays the same machine in the episode which he is in. Unless theres two. Scrubs is the best show ever. It's the same machine. It appeared in the very first episode, too. You can see it pretty often in the background. It's in a corner in the doctor's lounge. ...I watch that show too much.

The page seems to be unavailable.
A fiend of mine told me about that episode today. He said that Cartman really wanted a Wii so he cryogenically froze himself and asked Butters to thaw him out on the Wii's lauch date. Butters forgot and Cartman wound up in the future where video games no longer exist.

The episode can be found on southparkstuff.com (are we allowed to link to this? If not feel free to tell me and I'll remove it).
Some hilarious stuff in there.
