I never saw them, but seeing as Nintendo had to rush them out because of hundreds of complaints about Mario Party blistering hands, it's not likely they were much more than plain gloves, maybe with a Nintendo logo on.

I have that NP somewhere. It was a black glove with the fingers cut off, much like gym gloves. Had Nintendo somewhere I think.
Now I remember my friend trying to beat me in Cheep Cheep Chase without a glove and I watched in pain as not only did Luigi get swallowed as I winced, but my warnings didn't work and the skin on his palm was ripped for a week or so. Was pretty fun to rub in his face though.

Funny.. I've been using my palm in Mario Party games without a glove for years, and never had any injuries.

I remember I was playing Mario Party a year or so ago with my cousins...it just hurt to use my palm. So I used a glove I owned.

It wasn't Mario Party GAMES - just the minigames in the first Mario Party where you had to rotate the Control Stick really fast to win. It may have also had something to do with the sharper, harder N64 analogue stick. Nintendo got a ton of complaints, and later games have avoided this gameplay element. But they issued gloves for those who wanted to keep playing Mario Party.

I remember the warning on Mario Party 1 & 2 about not using the palm of your hand to rotate the stick... but with computer players going as fast as they did, it was the only way it was possible. I never damaged my hands doing it, though. I think I almost damaged one doing the stick-rotating thing in StarFox Adventures, though. That was far more difficult that something you need to do to progress should have been.

Fair enough! You obviously have the scaly, calloused hands of a nautical man, then

Actually, quite the opposite! I have the soft, silky hands of a small baby girl in a vat of vaseline. Though it seems to have much the same effect.

Eww... Graphic!! Hopefully this hasn't caused the slippery ungrippiness that seems to have led to many Wii injuries Don't understand it myself.
