As far as Lucario taking Mewtwo's place, it's probably Mewtwo out, Lucario in. I don't think they'd remove Mewtwo. Unlike Pichu, everyone wants him to become better.

We might have six playable Pokemon in four character slots in Brawl: Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Mewtwo, Squirtle, Ivysaur, and Charizard. So maybe Lucario isn't playable. It wasn't on the Brawl poll. The least he can be is as a Pokeball summon.

If Lucario takes Mewtwo's place, that could basically mean he is in over Mewtwo and not so much he steals his moves. Ugh... that would be so lame. I loved Mewtwo.

Lucario was only a movie star at the time of the poll, with no appearances in games other than cameos. Pokémon's fourth generation and its links to the third one are some of the things that I don't like to relate to that poll. What if Lucario was requested and rejected because of that?
I was about to discuss heights, but I find they would be the same height or at most a difference of one unit of size if you figure out some interpolation.

smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=133207&page=42THIS topic on SWF seems to be a great resource for all the current murmors and such as far as leaks and rumors go. Supposedly the new popular one is the roster stops at 35 w/ the only non-returning veterans being Mewtwo, Dr. Mario, Roy, and Pichu. Yes, popular opinion is now that Ness remains on the playable roster. This basically means that there are five remaining slots for NEW characters, many of which people say are "obviously" Krystal, Lucario, Mii, Olimar, and Ridley. We'll see what transpires, but in accordance with the current rumors we A) have little room for new characters, and B) know almost all the surprises already. So I've got MY fingers crossed this is all a bunch of BS. Hopefully you guys do too...

Mii? Does the rumor say this, because I'm not sure where everyone gets the Mii idea from.

Mii? Does the rumor say this, because I'm not sure where everyone gets the Mii idea from. One of the ideas everyone cites as "popular suggestion," so clearly it must be in >.> The rumor only mentions: Ness, Wolf, Captain Falcon, Ganondorf, Lucario And what's stranger yet? Chaos Zero came back and said: "And by returning, I mean playable. They're all playable." So now I can't believe this guy any more. Wolf and Ness as playable? HUGE wastes of character space.

So now I can't believe this guy any more. Wolf and Ness as playable? HUGE wastes of character space. I'd have to agree. I'm reluctant to beleive him in the first place. Last time we believed anyone, we were all burned. Wouldn't doubt this would be the second time.

I can understand Wolf being playable though... in all seriousness.
He's a perfect rival for Fox. If you wanted to have villains for each franchise, Wolf is the obvious choice for the Starfox series. And if Bowser, Ganondorf and King Dedede all get in, I'd say the starfox series carries alot of weight and deserves a villain just as much.
And if you ask me, Starfox 64 was the best game in the series by far. And the best parts of that game were the dogfights with Wolf and his team. I for one would be excited to see that rivalry take place in Brawl. Why not? (Or right... furries want to fap to Krystal's hairy ass)

We'd see Wolf as a Boss, if anything--and even then, how many Star Fox characters are there that make perfect Boss characters for Brawl? I can think of four that haven't been turned into Assist Trophies. Wolf has no combative identity lacks the popularity to drive him to be playable.
Ness is a different story, but Lucas has most of Ness' moves now...
Also, I'd prefer Mewtwo over Lucario, but that's probably just me. Mewtwo was kind of like the prize for beating RBY; Lucario's a prize for beating one dungeon about midway through the game's story. I mean, maybe it's just because I don't buy into the hype like I did when I was a kid, but Mewtwo felt like a much bigger deal than Lucario does, sooo...*shrug*

IGN lists Brawl as a February 2008 release in the UK. There's also several dates around for many magazines and stores (like Amazon and Play.com), mostly 25th January and 1st February.
Cross your fingers...

They are well and truly crossed, as Brawl didn't show up in Nintendo Europe's Q1 schedule at all last month, and one site pressed them on the matter and heard quite a horrible "July" date. So my fingers are crossed so hard, they're bleeding a little! Prediction for the 7th: Worldwide release dates.

Well, the only problem is that the European sites use the American screenshots so it may be an indicator for something......... Of course, earlier the better. I want to show you PAL peoples what's what .
