I think this is pretty cool, although I do believe Sakurai meant that "only" when he said it. Y'all're looking too deep into it.
Still, I'll probably use WW Wario more than SMB Mario more often, except under certain occasions (Mario-themed battle ftw?) Classic wario V. Mario Dressed as Wario or Wario Dressed as Mario V Mario Dressed as Wario.

Yeah, I'll only use Overalls Wario in Mario-themed matches. The rest of the time, Biker Wario will do.

I'll probably be using that sexy green overall Wario.

This is fantastic. I was so afraid there'd be no Wario Land content, but this, the taunt, and the confirmation of the Dash A attack as the shoulder charge kick total ass.
I really doubt anybody else will be getting alternate costumes like this, though. The only other feasible ones became "color swaps" like Fusion Suit Samus and Dark Link (which are really just a bright blue Samus and a darker Link). I can see Dr. Mario, but it would simply be "Mario" wearing the Doc's outfit. But that would most likely be an unlockable and nothing more. And then things like Blood Falcon and Ness would easily just be color swaps, because Captain Falcon just wore the Blood Falcon outfit--he never BECAME Blood Falcon. Same as the case with Fusion Suit Samus and whatnot. She's got the COLORS, but not the suit.
Yeah, Wario's a special case. And way sexier to play as now, too.
FUN FACT: Wario was the least popular character in a poll taken right after the game's unveiling. Sakurai was incredibly taken aback by this, saying that he hoped Wario's "special abilities" would bring him into popularity. I bet the costume change is really just to appease fans and make Wario a "worthwhile" addition.

I think this proves Sakurai listens. After the trailer, everyone was complain about how they wanted Wario in his classic outfit. It's obvious that Sakurai listens to fans, but also that he did do some stuff for the westerners.

You know... That Fusion Suit Samus have... That actually came from Metroid Prime when you beat Metroid Prime AND Metroid Fusion and linked them together via GCN/GBA cable so you could replay Metroid Prime with Samus in Fusion Suit colors.

Could be more like: "But Wario alone is special...in that his is available from the start!"
And you can unlock the other ones. But I doubt it. Still, a good precedent for SSB4...

I've been lurking around Smash Boards and many people there are in denial over this. And some people who are now in the second stage of acceptance (anger) are saying why is Wario the only special one and why no one else gets alternate costumes and Wario does not deserve to have alternate costumes.

That's Smashboards for yea. They think Megaman has a chance for Brawl saying that they would just gio higher then him, despite the fact he'd probably know and be involved were Megaman in the game.

Unless it's EXE or Star Force Megs, which doesn't involve Inafune in the least. But I digress... The Fusion Suit in Metroid Prime was the legit Fusion Suit in 3D, gooey "nylon" effect and everything. This is just a recoloring. Trust me: I've beaten Fusion as well as Prime to completion. I think I'd know.

This is great, but how would it look if you were WarioMan Plumber's uniform, that'd be weird. And does he have the same moves as Wario? Mmmmm.

This is awesome. It's a shame he outright stated "Wario alone" as there's good scope here for all sorts of fun. But hey... at least this is really cool! ;D Other than that, I can't add much to this topic other than to send it spiralling into off-topic anarchy. From page 1: And my mother told me that if you take the name of God in vain, you could be one step closer to Hades. So don't say that "GD" phrase again. Parrothead. Do not tell people what they can and can't say. I can use the name of God in any way I please, as I do not believe in him. If you have your arbitrary rules for your religion, do not impose them on others. It makes me very angry when people do that.

Hurray! The Wario I grew up with is in Brawl! Thank you Sakurai. This is an excellent Christmas gift.
Too bad it's only Wario. As previously stated, Dr. Mario would be a good costume switch as well as making Daisy an official costume for Peach. Nothing new, just making use of what's already there.

If you believe the Bible, then taking God's name in vain is a bad thing, but that doesn't mean you can't say, "Goddamn it." It means you're not supposed to say things like "God hates fags" (haha even better, censor!) or "We're fighting God's war!" Food for thought.
