According to recent sources, Kirby can inhale items and will get new powers.
Anybody else find this a little strange? Or perhaps, impossible?
Like, what would be the difference between inhaling an item and holding the item? For example, they say if Kirby inhales a fire flower, he'll become fire Kirby and will breathe fire. I think this was an error. Perhaps they just didnt' know about the super spicy curry, picked it up... and assumed they inhaled a fire flower.
Because really, it doesn't make sense. What would happen if you inhaled the screw attack? You'd have the screw attack power? But how is that different from holding the screw attack? Or the hammer... let's say you get Hammer Kirby if you inhale it. But his hammer is already his Forward+B.
The idea sounds cool, plus it makes Kirby very interesting (he could inhale items in his old games, like the parasol) but the more I think about it the less it seems likely. I think it was just an error.

I mentioned this (and a whole lot of other new info) in the "Jump Festa" thread today but the thread got bumped down to quickly for anyone to notice. It probably just a mistake, it sounds unfair for Kirby to have such an ability.

It may just be that rather than Kirby holding the items in his hand, he inhales them. So he doesn't gain any special powers, but simply uses the item from inside his mouth.
Just an idea ;D

I just figured it was with certain items. We can almost guarantee he can swallow Food this way if it exists for real, for one idea. And Waddle Doos for Beam Power, right?
As far as other items, I think they're confused. That's really cheap. Though Yoshi being able to eat shells would be nice if they were going down this route...

I agree 100% with Ninja, but maybe the sources meant that Kirby could inhale items and keep them for storage? Of course, that's obviousely unfair, but it's just food for thought.
