And eight if you (rightly) consider Mushroomy Kingdom to be two stages, which I affectionatly dub "1-1" and "1-2"... rather than the game's "Ground" and "Underground".

I got a tiny new gripe here. Why didn't they throw the Mario World remix in the, you know, Mario World Melee stage? Having a tune show up on two stages wouldn't hurt anyone. Also Kirby's Forest theme fits Green Greens perfectly, same with Love theme for Onett, but instead they can only play on the dark and gloomy new brawl stages. I just think it's kinda weird, Great Temple got a new remix so it's not like the music in the Melee stages had to be pure Melee or something.

the Melee stages are just a waste of space on my disc Not like the disk used all the space. The second layer had almost nothing on it. They are really there for one thing: Verses mode. That's really there purpose. To add more stages. Also, should be noted that Battlefield, Smashville, Pictochat and Hanebow do not appear in classic or All-Star, although the former is used for Multiman. Still would have liked a Gyromite stage.

Haha, I actually turned the Amazing Mirror Forest theme off of the Halberd stage because it absolutely does not fit.

Still trying to find the damned "Calling to the Night" CD from Metal Gear! It's a great track but can't seem to find it anywhere. Don't really want to CD factory it. Oh and I've just got the Golden Sun Boss / Battle Scene CD. That song is sooooo good.

One way to get CDs is play ion a higher difficulty. CDs will appear instead of trophies on Intense (Golden Boxes only).

Hmm, I guess I just wanted to collect the CD's legitimately instead of spamming sandbags. Knowing my luck it would be the last one remaining in the game ;D

Part of the fun is Brawl is the CDs. Randomly getting one, having to stop the match for one, and then finding out what you got. The purpose of it was to lengthen the play time. CD Factories seem like cheating.

So the general opinion in this thread can be summed in "Brawl's strong points are its gameplay, character roster and music, everything else is crap". Isn't that so?

Ah, but for me the collectathon and nostalgia factors are important parts of the Smash Bros. experience for me - and while we have a lot more to collect this time around, it doesn't seem quite as worthwhile. But no - this is (going to be) an excellent game, chock full of awesome. We're merely nitpicking You know what IS crap? The European release date leaves a lot to be desired!

I reckon it's being held up due to some kind of conspiracy involving aliens, the Mafia and Bigfoot. Seriously, though I wonder why they can't run all the text though a giant translational database so that all the english text gets translated into French, German etc. Then send a team of 5 or 6 people (per language) to proof read it and make corrections where deemed necessary. This should take a month from start to finish at the most, I'd reckon. I guess the next step would be to get the game rated by PEGI (who take ages to rate a game..apparently). But still, I would have thought that it would have been out by now.

Something about Nintendo not having enough factories and not wanting to open up another one just to print PAL Brawl cd's because it would be a waste of money after it's release... or something similar I heard. I dunno.
They probably want to have a crapload of copies ready before the EU launchdate too. Getting enough copies ready for release was the sole reason the US got that 1 month delay afterall.

NOA is just as slippery as NOE. They are totally screwing us on the Virtual Console, channels, and Club Nintendo prizes. They really don't care about the fans. Though, I am still grateful it isn't NOE or, worse yet, Nintendo of Australia...
We can't forget that Nintendo is first and foremost by and for the Japanese *shrug*
