Famistu's review score for this game is 31/40 (8 / 7 / 8 / 8). Nice to the score over 30 but I thought it was going to be higher though. Source, please. I know it's Famitsu, but post a link to it.

That's actually a generic question about Stafy, but I don't want to open a seperate thread for that, so I ask you: Do you know what Stafy's enemy Ogura is supposed to be? Pure fantasy or modeled after an animal?

Apparently, Ogura means "Small storehouse" in Japanese.

Apparently, Ogura means "Small storehouse" in Japanese. Hmm, he doesn't look anything like that. But a name doesn't necessarily refer to a character's appearance. Bowser is named after a Korean dish in Japanese (Kuppa/Koopa), but he doesn't look very appetizing at all. And only think of Donkey Kong (I know why he is named so). I read in an older revision of Ogura's Wikipedia article that he is an eel, can anyone confirm this? There was no citation.

And only think of Donkey Kong (I know why he is named so). Well, DK is named so because Miyamoto thought he should be stubborn like a Donkey, or it was a translation error of Monkey Kong. There are many theories and I don't know which is true. Also, has it ever been proven that Kirby was named after the vacuums?

Did you explain Donkey's name just for the sake of completeness or didn't you read my message exactly enough? About Kirby's name, it seems that no one knows it anymore: www.n-sider.com/contentview.php?contentid=325&page=5

Well, I didn't know if you were asking about his name or not. My mistake.

For the sake of completeness, I must add that in Spanish-speaking countries, "burro" (literally "donkey" as in an animal), is also another word for "idiot" or "stupid", among other close meanings.

I wouldn't consider DK an idiot, but as I previously pointed out, being a donkey (or ass) is what you would call someone who's stubborn or an idiot.

. Bowser is named after a Korean dish in Japanese (Kuppa/Koopa), but he doesn't look very appetizing at all. I am pretty damn sure that Bowser/Koopa was named after the japanese turtle demons known as Kappa's. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kappa_(folklore)EDIT: Make sure to add the last part. If you dont, it brings you to a completely unrelated page.

Miyamoto confirmed he wanted to use a word that means "stupid" he chose "donkey" probably confused with other laguages.
As for "Kupa" I believe he was actually named after a certain food or dish.

For whatever reason, I've always thought that Koopas were named after Kappas. It sounds similar, and Kappas are described as turtle monkeys.
