Since it's going to be a PSN/XBLA game I expect it to be rather limited (I wonder if all those robot masters are even playable), but hey Megaman Powered Up had a buttload of different Roll costumes as DLC so who knows what they'll add over time.

Fact sheet, artwork and screen shots for SaGa 3: Shadow or Light on the DS. In addition, here is Jeremy Parish's preview, and he loves it. I was really interested in SaGa 2 DS, and I'm really interested in this one, even tho it's rather un-SaGa-like. But, of course, there's little chance Square Enix will take it out of Japan. On the other hand, the original SNES version of Lufia II was published in North America by Natsume, and Square Enix recently offered them the opportunity to publish the DS remake here, as well. On that note, the original Game Boy versions of Final Fantasy Legend 1-3 were re-released in the later 90's in North America by Sunsoft. It'd be nice if Sunsoft could pick up the DS remakes for North America, as well. Perhaps someone should go over to Sunsoft's official message board toss the idea at Victor Ireland.

Heh. Parrothead sure gets around. I see his name pop up at other message boards that I occasionally lurk at more than I would expect. But, yeah. Parrot, maybe you could bring it up over there if it isn't inconvenient. Not that I would expect anything to come of it, but it's pretty much the last resort at this point.

If the info from Destructoid is correct (not watchin the video) the upcoming Michael Jackson game for the DS, will have Ouendan/Elite Beat Agents style touch screen tapping gameplay. In summary. Ouendan/EBA gameplay + Michael Jackson music = potenially good game?

I guess I like to torture myself. Here's the Japanese trailer for the SaGa 3 remake. Love the epic SaGa theme music. In possibly related news, Square Enix registered a Japanese trademark for "EMPERORS SAGA", which might be a brand new entry in the SaGa series. If it is, it's probably not for a Nintendo console, unless it's the 3DS.

That is awesome (but to be honest, I was expecting it )! I've wanted to try out the series, so I'll be there for it! I'm stoked about the Resident Evil: The Mercenaries title, too. It's about time! Tales of the Abyss is seeing a 3DS port too, it seems. I've got a list of games that were mentioned at the conference here.

The Wii remake of Atari's Haunted House is available now, and here's the launch trailer:
It's actually a budget title, for only $19.99. That's the same price it goes for as a Windows downloadable game. It won't be released on XBLA until October, but I imagine the price will be the same there, as well. So, Wii owners aren't getting a bad deal.
Then again, being a budget title, how much can you expect?
The reason I've been paying attention to this game isn't so much that I'm interested in it, specifically, but because I'm curious to see if this is a direction Atari will continue to move in. I like the idea of Atari going back to its roots, but how successful will that be?

Natsume has licensed Estapolis DS for NA release. For those who haven't been following, it's a remake of Lufia II for the SNES (which Natsume also brought over here back in the day!). It will be retaining the Lufia name over here, plus a similar subtitle: Curse of the Sinistrals. More info can be gleamed over at LVLs.Remember this? Well, Lufia: Curse of the Sinistrals is out as of today! I just put up a huge art gallery to celebrate (since I'm poor XD ), so if you're interested, check it out!

Siliconera reports that SaGa 3, Radiant Historia, Ace Attorney Investigations II, and Solartorobo are all featured in the next issue of Nintendo Power. Localization possibilities? We'll see!

Now that's just a cruel tease.
It'd actually be kinda sad if SaGa 3 did make it over here after SaGa 2 didn't. But then, the original game was made by the same team that made Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest, so maybe they think it would appeal more to Western players.
I'd probably still buy it if it did get localized, tho.
