The owl could also be the owl from Link's Awakening. That's Kaepora Gaebora . His name was given in OoT, not in LA. I dunno if he was given it in other countries. Holy snot, that's messed up.

Could it be that the hole in Birdo's face is his/her butt???

We've already seen him/her/it use the pheromone attack on Nick.

Kaepora Gaebora is the best guess. The only other owls I can think of are Heavy Zed, Hoot the Owl, Hoothoot, and Noctowl, none of which match as well.

TV ad (proper one). So, I preordered Captain★Rainbow from yesasia some time ago. I hope they ship it tomorrow so I can have it around Monday. I'm not too optimistic though. edit: Some people have already furage'd* the game and started posting spoilers on japanese message boards... Now I can't go there anymore. * Furage: To obtain magazines, books, CDs, etc., before they officially go on sale. A word synthesized from the English "flying get."

No, the Link's Awakening owl is the best guess so far, I'd say. It's not big or fat enough to be Kaepora Gaebora. The Pokemon aren't obscure enough, and the others... well, I guess it could be them, but I'm gonna plump for Link's Awakening owl and assume it's tied to Crazy Tracy's story somehow.

Hmmm, seems like there could be more characters from established franchises and not just one hit wonders. Oh well.
Hope this game sells well.

So, today we got the last 2 videos. The first one is hosted by Mappo who complains about Lip, and the second one (the one that was supposed to be all about Mappo) just says some things about the game that we already knew. No "new" characters shown. Also, awesomeness;

Care to link me to one of the message boards in question? Since I'm not gonna get a chance to play this, unless it comes to NA, I might as well have it spoiled.

The Piranha Plant is even seen on the manual. Maybe its role isn't as minor as I thought? For some reason, the Japanese Wikipedia tells on two pages that CR has been T-rated by ESRB (both in the game's article and in the list of T-rated games). What's going on? Either they know what we don't or it was done by some joker who want's to make us insane here. On their website, Nintendo calls the game's genre "アクショベンチャー" (Akushobencha). Er, what does that mean? A portmanteau of "Action" and "Adventure" (Actventure)?
