Yeah, because all of the other characters shown have been perfect recreations of their original designs... She's called Tracy, she wears a short dress, she's a tart. I don't know what else you're seeing in the 4-colour teeny tiny sprite that nobody else can see. A hair bow.

About Crazy Tracy, I can only hardly see a resemblence as well. And I don't remember her speaking about things like "weaponary of a woman", either.

From what I could tell in the trailer, Takamaru is an excellent samurai, but can't seen to fight a woman. Every time he sees or visualizes one, he gets a nose bleed (dumbest Japanese cliche ever. It doesn't even make sense...).
Either that, or he's a pervert. I see him groping that dummy in a bikini.

Ha! A Nintendo character that we don´t know. Still both Little mac and Takamaru said from wich game they were when they introduced themselves, so maybe she is an original character after all. Dam! I really want to play this game, shame that it probably wont see release outside Japan.

I really want to play this game, shame that it probably wont see release outside Japan. Er, if I looked right, neither Little Mac nor Takamaru said the title of their respective game, 23Makoto23 added a text box for this. But he didn't add such a text box for the recent trailer (which is already fully translated), so it seems that he don't know where Tracy is from, too. For the sake of completeness, translation of Takamaru's few lines in the new trailer: www.youtube.com/watch?v=D1p_KldERnAFrom what I could tell in the trailer, Takamaru is an excellent samurai, but can't seen to fight a woman. Every time he sees or visualizes one, he gets a nose bleed (dumbest Japanese cliche ever. It doesn't even make sense...). Oh, that was it? I remember seeing this in a similar manner with Muten-Roshi from the Dragon Ball series. With all this stuff, I see the chances for a western release coming down - or we'll get at least a considerably censored version.

Japanese thought of the same character as Fryguy did, Crazy Tracy from Zelda 4: blog.livedoor.jp/himojii/archives/51441766.htmlI looked closely at the sprite, and now it seems more likely to me. The crossed legs, the bow, this small sprite doesn't make many guidelines for the character design at the end. About the different hair, don't forget that Pauline also changed her hair colour in 1994 after her long absence. Since there is no other girl named Tracy but Ness' sister, Fryguy might be right... again. C'mon guys, don't try to mess with the master himself. With all this stuff, I see the chances for a western release coming down - or we'll get at least a considerably censored version. Nose bleeds are no big deal. It's the fact that a majority of the characters are Japanese only. Because of this, I doubt anyone will see it outside of Japan. Now I see that he gets his second nosebleed because he sees the scarecrow which wears a bra... that's really not stuff I would await in a Nintendo-published game. What's Takamaru's wish, anyway? Not to be shy of girls anymore?

Well, my Google search for Tracy yielded nothing but Crazy Tracy. And I don't know if America got a cut down version of the game, but I definitely got the impression she was quite slutty in MY copy of Link's Awakening...
Oh, and on the hair... it's crazy. And that blue thing in her hair could be her bow. Hikari hardly looks like her original incarnation at all either.
I'm sticking with Crazy Tracy. Watch as I am PROVED CORRECT! Bwahahaha.

Am I expected to believe that there are people who actually get nosebleeds when they see beautiful women?

Could be, could be. For all we know, Tracy herself was a cameo from a game even before Link's Awakening, much like Prince Richard was. That game was chock full of cameo characters.

... What sort of Nintendo game is Tracy from? ;D
Either way, I would go with the "Crazy Tracy" theory as the only other Tracy in Nintendo-dom is from Earthbound, and I see no Ape Inc. or Shigesato Itoi in the copyright for Captain Rainbow.

What do you mean "for all we know"? I've been and done my research, and can confirm she's a Link's Awakening original. This stuff's pretty well-documented in Japan.
