...why can't it just be Peach and Toad in NSMB :< Well.. really, why can't they just make one of the Toad's the red one and turn the other into Peach? :< I could understand that, Peach/Toadstool should take another spotlight after Super Princess Peach unlike SMBUSA . Now you're playing with power! Princess Power! Oh, you'd understand if you've kept up with my "game ideas" topic over there in the fan art/fic board.

She's probably kidnapped by Bowser (O RLY?) and will be playable when you finish the game.

She's probably kidnapped by Bowser (O RLY?) and will be playable when you finish the game. I have serious doubts there will be unlockable characters. We always hope for these things and never get them. NEVERMORE! I'm figuring they just kidnap Peach and "Toad," leaving us with the only two retainers remaining: Blue and Yellow. If they at least explain THAT I would be content. Otherwise, I don't understand the tard logic to the whole matter. Okay, fine, you needed colors other than Red and Green. That's really not a huge issue: Wario's Yellow, Waluigi's Purple, Toad can be Blue, etc. Okay, you figured you wanted to introduce fresh new characters. Then why did they have to be generics? And how difficult would it have been, if you are already including a Toad into the game, to just palette swap it to the actual Toad from SMB2? At least that would be more fanservice in about 30 seconds worth of work ("hang on, let me click this "color change wheel" over here, Toshi!"). Illogical. I just don't get it

Brawl, especially the ATs, really did wonders on Nintendo these recent years. Little Mac revived Punch-Out!! for the Wii. Starfy finally became international with The Legendary Starfy. Saki not only brought Sin & Punishment to the VC but also brought the sequel to the Wii. Isaac brought back Golden Sun for the DS. Sakurai's comment about Nintendo not having many character-driven franchises after Pikmin on that All-Star Mode update on the Dojo was a wake-up call to Nintendo. *starts dreaming about SSB4 again*

This has been a good E3 show. We've got a lot to look forward to. What's the next stop? Tokyo Game Show or GDC?

That's Glory of Heracles? It looks very good. So, its an introductory RPG? Kinda like how Super Mario RPG introduced new gamers to the RPG genre?

Aye, we've had some background on this series before (from Parrothead, I do believe, when covering old Data East properties). Paon basically bought the rights to the series, and because they are developing exclusively for Nintendo at the moment, the series is technically a Nintendo property. Here's the Wikipedia entry on the seriesI'm surprised NoA is publishing it as well though. I would have thought they'd shy away from releasing the sixth iteration of a Japan-only RPG series. Maybe this is going to be like a series "reboot".

As this is the second E3 I've watched live now, it's unbelievable to me how much better this year's E3 was than last years. I'm far more excited this year for new games than last year (which consisted mainly of me playing games I missed out on before and the new Punch-out) whereas now I've got Wii Sports plus in July (which I originally didn't like the look of, but the new info and the fact there are over 10 different sports etc I believe, made me far more excited about it) then Mario and Luigi 3 in fall (which I just hope is better than 2, as while I enjoyed 2, it wasn't as good as 1) then NSMBW at Xmas, with Metroid and SMG2 the following year. Overall I'd say this was a great E3 which really helped make up for last years.

This is awesome to see. It's the hardcore gamers reaction to the Nintendo Press Conference (using NeoGAF as the basis) in line graph form, made using whether comment made by forum posters were positive or negative. Detailed analysis of the graph. This graph spikes up whenever a Nintendo employee comes on stage but then plummets when they talk about casual subjects. Except for Cammie Dunaway, she never had a positive spike when she appeared. Also you can see the giant spikes that NSMB Wii, GS DS, SMG2 and then the biggest from Metroid:OM made.
