Most of the Pokémon movies were at least decent, especially 2000.
And that Animal Crossing movie was stupid, they have it on YouTube with subs.

See, now that you mentioned it was an anime, TV Eye is going to hate it. He's an artistic racist.

Flint hasn't seen James and the Giant Peach. If he did, he'd know that Tim Burton could pull off a Earthbound movie awesomely if the circumstances were right. Ajem... Tim Burton has nothing to do with "James and the Giant Peach" www.imdb.com/title/tt0116683/fullcredits#writers (it was animated by the same people who did "The Nightmare before Christmas", but Tim Buton had nothing to do with James. And the fact that James has dot eyes, doesnt make a movie about Mechanized sharks, Giant bugs and aunts that drive underwater similar to Earthbound. The main problem is that the people responsible for making the video games are not involved. Instead we get these guys who have no idea what the game is like making the movie. How can you make a movie about something you have no idea what it's like. And jet Final Fantasy the spirits within sucked (which was directed by the creator of Final Fantasy and animated by square (I have heard that Miyamoto did a little bit of supervision on the Mario movie) Moral of the story,You cant make a good movie out of a game. I think a Donkey Kong movie would be better live action. Better yet dkcmovie.ytmnd.com/

I loved the first three Pokemon films, the Sonic OAV, the Fire Emblem OAV (oh especially this one), Super Mario Bros: The Great Mission to Save Princess Peach, and actually, the Animal Crossing movie. I thought it was really well-done and captured the AC spirit.
A good movie for a game can be done but it seems the better ones were done in Japan.

Well then... screw Tim Burton. Just get the team behind those movies to do it. You really think "mechanized sharks, giant bugs and people driving underwater" is any different than "psychic powered bugs from the future, evil animate objects and people obsessed with the color blue"? Those guys can pull it off 1-2-3. Sorry about the Tim Burton misconception.

Lol! You pwned everyone!! ;D Frankly, animation is more forgiving than live action when it comes to plot deficiencies. I love the opening movies to a lot of the Mario sports titles, and I'm sure the teams responsible for those could stretch to a full episode. It'd be called "Wario and Waluigi do stupid things haha". And it would be AWESOME!

Camelot worked on their FMVs, I believe. Many of my friends agreed with me that they should have been put on the job of a CG Mario cartoon shorts series.

I disagree Fryguy. Metroid, has actually a lot more to do with like Batman than it does with Alien.
You probably never read the manga, Samus has a nice back story, they could probably do the movie as a spliced flash back.
While Samus is exploring Zebes and fighting monsters, she goes into various flash backs throughout the movie about her childhood, her parents deaths, the Chozo raising her, the Chozo's deaths, ect. All those would be in pieces in between the storyless action from her adventure on Zebes.

Er no, nothing like Batman. It's based off of Alien and Samus does have a backstory. But BATMAN?
I would say do it in actual order. Ridley's raid on K-2L and Samus would be introduced there, Old Bird would pick her up and then you'd begin. Galactic Federation would come into play after we see Samus growing up and Mother Brain.

If you want to compare Metroid to comics, then Samus is like Wonder Woman with Iron Man's powerset.

Pfft, you guys are insane! Metroid is clearly based off Spy vs. Spy.

If there is a Metroid movie, I just hope to hell that Uwe Boll isn't involved in any way! He manages to ruin just about any film he makes!
