I actually think a pikmin movie would be quite interesting. And it's not complete without the spaceship's dialogue. I have to admit I have not played Pikmin 1 but I know that the talking spaceship only appears in Pikmin 2. Also Pikmin doesn't need a movie it's already doing more success as a band making music.

Actually, I think a Pikmin movie could work well if done like the first act of Wall-E, as a sort of pseudo-silent movie, relying on visuals and music to tell the story, and no real dialogue.
Of course, for that to work, the movie would have to be a total artistic fap-fest. Something so beautiful that you break down and weep right there in the cinema because you feel your peasant eyes unworthy of seeing such majesty. I'm sure you all know that feeling.

They could film it in live action with CGI characters. That would be pretty easy to do considering the amount of real world objects already present in the game.

A Pikmin movie would work better with ONLY Olimar, using a storyline similar to the first game. It would have a Castaway type feel to it, only a lot more surreal.

Donkey Kong County would make a good animated adventure flick, with the only comic relief being Cranky Kong complaing about how dumb game to movie adaptations are. ;D

Donkey Kong would actually be a good candidate for an animated kids movie. Characters are pretty marketable, there potential for a lighthearted storyline, and the characters fit well (Diddy would be the cool dude to appeal to the 10 year old boys, Dixie for the girls, Lanky for comic relief, etc, etc).
I'd watch it, at least.

Besides, I can probably guess who'd do the voice acting (4kids)...so no!!

It should also be noted that DK actually speaks and that Diddy does not have the Nintendo racetrack logo on his hat).

I already know about Le Planete de Donkey Kong. I have the Videocassette with the four episodes sloppily edited together to form a "movie".
I also know that Nintendo would never trust 4kids when it came to voice acting again, so any Nintendo cartoons made in the future won't have to be worried about.
EDIT: I'd also like to note that I did like everything about the DK TV show except for DK himself. In my movie idea, he wouldn't speak. Diddy would do all the talking for him.

The same could be said for any video game movie provided they're done right. The world needs more silent protagonists.

As to the Donkey Kong Country animated series, ever wanted to hear how the characters speak (and sing) in the Japanese dub? Here's the intro and the first part of the wedding episode. The intro is a completely different one, complete with karaoke lyrics (in Japanese, of course).
For the sake of completeness, the original French intro (the English version is based on this):
