Really weird. Reminds me of Ristar's beta, with Kirby looking so different. Reminds me of old Taito games like Rainbow Islands and Parasol Stars. Do we know anything about the gameplay?

Times like this make one wonder, what other cancelled Nintendo projects are out there? There was one site I read waaaay back in the day that swore there were builds of Ocarina on the SNES. And remember all that Zelda III NES stuff a year or two back? There's also FF4 NES and the REAL Super Mario World 2, not to mention the more publicized Mario's Wacky Worlds and third Zelda: Oracle game. Nintendo needs to release a list of this stuff, y'know? Or at least we need a resource somewhere.

Ah yes. That was the age of wacky promotional renders for everything. Nintendo Power has loads of 'em. Not just promotional renders, the German Club Nintendo magazine had whole comics (drawn by Japanese artists) of that stuff ( learn more). Only see that Kirby comic (with unofficial English translation). Kirby is... dirty. That comic has to be the worst Nintendo comic I've ever read. Too many dead bodies and such a ridiculous story ("Haha, he's lost his memory, now we can make him evil!")

The one Kirby game I'm glad was cancelled.
And that comic was horrible.

Apparently Mario still had the raccoon leaf the SMW beta.

I have read some of the comics from German Club Nintendo (you can find some at the Mario Wiki) the early ones are pure gold and one of the reasons I´m happy to have studied Deutch, then they changed artist and became not so good. But any Comic where you have Mario battling Dr. Wily with artwork that looks like the one from Capcom and Nintendo its a go in my book.

Club Nintendo had some nice exclusive stuff, Cp. Syrup original artwork came from that magazine (I scaned and uploaded here some years ago) here is also a little bit of artwork that I havent seen anywhere (some from DK 94, some from Wario Land) a poster from That 3D figthing game Nintendo was publishing for the Snes signed by Stan Lee, but I think everything else can be found in the web now (BTW Kirby Tilt 'N' Tumble wasn´t developed by HAL but Nintendo RD2 and I think its planed GC sequel was also, Kirby does had a insane amount of cancelled games) Dude. If you ever get a chance, I'd love to see some of that DK94 and Wario Land stuff.
