Uh, this game isn't a cherished family member or something. I could not give a shit if it is or isn't dead. There's plenty of gamers who'd like to give you a star uppercut right now. Punch-Out is a beloved classic and a damn good one too. Just because you don't appreciate it, doesn't mean there are plenty of people happy to see Mac back in the ring. I don't just mean Punch-Out specifically. I mean any game. Any game ever. Phrasing it like I should be eternally grateful to a company for reviving a game, like they had given me a kidney or something, is ridiculous. I refuse to 'be grateful' for Nintendo slapping something together in five minutes and rolling around on the piles of money this game will generate. Five minutes? Your acting like they're porting the NES game with better graphics. No, this was a new game made from the ground up. It just cleverly simulates everything from the NES game. This is a retelling of a classic. You know how you quoted that portion of a sentence of mine? Yeah, that one. Go back and quote the rest of it. The part that says " If the game is indeed a remake". If. If. If if if if if. I thought the rampant retardosity here had condensed itself to the Smash board now. Guess not.

And I didn't phrase it like you should be eternally grateful. Where did you get that idea? It's just that, you've never been happy to see something back alive again? You don't miss any franchises? I simply thought you just didn't care for Punch-Out. You know how you quoted that portion of a sentence of mine? Yeah, that one. Go back and quote the rest of it. The part that says " If the game is indeed a remake". If. If. If if if if if. Yes even IF it was a remake, it still didn't take them "five minutes" to make. Even if it IS a remake, they remade it from the ground up. Nintendo wasn't lazy, they just want to bring back a classic in Wii form. And that's not something you just slap new sprites and sounds on. I thought the rampant retardosity here had condensed itself to the Smash board now. Guess not. There's no need to get rude. Your acting like quite an ass now.

Yes, a sexy ass He's not being rude, there really is a tremendous amount of ignorance in the Smash Boards. I think I'll steer clear from there for awhile...

Well yes there is in the Smash Board. But I think it's obvious that he just called me a retard.
I mean really? Name calling?

We're diagnosing people all over the place as retards. It's a worldwide thing.

It's true! Sonic fans are even trying to get someone from IGN fired because he called the gameplay in Black Knight retarded. Film at 11.

How about be damned grateful the series ain't dead? The 'damned grateful' thing just threw me. I guess if you people wanna act like a video game company reviving a game is something akin to developing a cure for cancer, go right ahead. And Koopaul: I didn't call you retarded. It was referring to your post. And I stand by that as it was retarded.

Maybe not to that extent, of course, but I do think when it comes to getting something that's dearly wanted but with no real expectation of ever happening that beggars can't be choosers. Complaints that are frankly really middling (complaining that it's a remake in a series that doesn't have a plot to begin with? What makes Super Punch-Out!! any less of a remake than this, a different player character?) come off as, frankly, whiny and irrelevant as hell, and I say this being a former master of the whine. It's apparent from your posts that you don't even care about the series to begin with (and I don't either, to be honest), though.
Of course, if you want to be like the majority of current Donkey Kong fans and be frustrated if a game isn't made to their exact specifications (and they are many and wild), be my guess.

This game should of been about every previous Punch-Out!! game's plot connecting with each other into the Wii game, with the green-haired wire boxer and the blond-haired "RIGHT ON!!" boxer given official names, while joining with Little Mac to become three different playable boxers to choose from with special boxing moves. The green-haired boxer's special punch should be the "Right Hook", Little Mac's should be the "Star Uppercut" and the blonde-haired boxer's should be the "Rapid Punch" and/or "KnockOut Punch". If the game was finished and if it had a lot of extra space, then it should include the original Punch-Out!! arcades, unaltered.
Too bad the Wii game will be a 3D remake of the most popular game in the series, with old and new boxers; however, when I looked at the game's front cover, I saw a boxer that wasn't revealed before, and he looks like Piston Hurricane. Also, Glass Joe's look is based on his arcade appearance instead of his NES look. I hope the other two Punch-Out!! protagonists would become unlockables with official names given.

What kind of new, expanded gameplay are you looking for from this game?
