The BGM in that trailer was from the very first stage in the game. It sounds as good as Southern Island's 1996 theme in Wave Race 64. Now about Yamagami's "He was swimming all the way from Japan!" quote, I've thought of that before when I created a video titled " If Stafy didn't appear in SSBB at all." I made that video just in case if the Starfy series wasn't represented in SSBB at all. I thought of creating it back when I went to the Grand Canyon for the first time, during my best vacation in August 2005.

The English website is now online. Also, on Memorial Day, someone posted on in the "Commercials" paragraph of the Wikipedia article about the Starfy series saying a "live-action English commercial for it takes place on a boat, where a old man and his grandson, fishing, talk about catching a giant squid, the grandson is worried, until the old man assures his grandson that he doesn't have to worry, because he has Starfy. Starfy then pops out of the sea. This is the first North American commercial, airing on May 25, 2009."

Here's the commericial, just a Wiki/Parrothead said it would be. I find it odd they didn't show Starfy's face, game boxart or even gameplay footage. But it might be more of a "teaser" trailer with a gameplay commercial to follow, hopefully.
Also the boat has the name, Falling Star. Nice Starfy reference there.

oooo....that Stafy commerical is pretty kickin'. All fantastical and whatnot. Nintendo needs advertising like that for the rest of their games.

This commercial looks like it was done by the same people who did the early Pokémon commercials like Pokémon Red & Blue's, Mario Party 1's and several others aired in the U.S.. I believe this will not be the only U.S. commercial for it. It's just giving gamers a heads up, so they can look it up and preorder it. When the game gets released, it will most likely get another commercial or more than one with game play footage. It's sort of like some Super Bowl commercials giving hints on something very interesting going on or coming up.

Also, this commericial is going to get shown in movie theaters before showings of the new Pixar movie Up.

That commercial alone is better than 99.9% of all the live action video game movies ever made. Kinda depressing to think about.

I'm not interested in Disney at all. Therefore, I most likely won't be seeing the commercial on the large screen; however, I'm thinking about just walking in to record it, then go back to where another movie is played at. That commercial alone is better than 99.9% of all the live action video game movies ever made. Kinda depressing to think about. Even better than the first Mortal Kombat movie?

If only they could pull off stuff like that in the movies... I still fail to see how they can do it in simple commercials and not anything else like that.

A) Way to do yourself a huge disservice o powerful minister of obscurity. B) Are you insinuating that the first MK movie was GOOD?

A) I'm not against every single popular thing in existence. I like some popular stuff.
B) I heard several people say it is one of the best (if not the best) video game-based movie ever made.

B) Are you insinuating that the first MK movie was GOOD? I thought it was good, although...Parrothead? That whole thing you said about recording the commercial was pretty weird.

Corbie Dillard of nintendolife recently created an article about the series. He also reviewed the first, second and third titles of the series. There is also a review for the fourth one, but it was reviewed back in December 18, 2006, by Thomas Bowskill instead of Corbie Dillard. B) Are you insinuating that the first MK movie was GOOD? I thought it was good, although...Parrothead? That whole thing you said about recording the commercial was pretty weird. Well, if I showed you the recording of it using a camera, then that would prove that I saw it. Just saying I saw it isn't reliable enough. I may or may not go see a movie. If I do, then I'll probably tell my parents or whoever I would be going with that I'll either be going to the restroom or the lobby to get something. This would less likely happen, since my current college semester is nearly over, while my father is usually busy with certain things. MODIFY: I just went to the nearest theater, and I didn't see the commercial pop up before Disney Pixar's "UP!" started. I wonder why? It probably showed up during the trivia and quizzes shown before previews of upcoming movies start.

Well, this is the day the game comes out now, isn't it? Anyone fortunate enough to get it yet? I'm not interested in Disney at all. Therefore, I most likely won't be seeing the commercial on the large screen; however, I'm thinking about just walking in to record it, then go back to where another movie is played at. Isn't that film theft? Dude, that's illegal.
