Eh, I've avoided using Miis in any game where they were optional. Somehow using a Mii in Mario & Sonic seems to defeat the one thing that makes the game special.

Actually I think having Miis would be a hilariously awesome idea. Imagine YOU being the hero of the Mushroom Kingdom!

I did. I had an idea for a game like the Mario sports RPGs where you make a character and attend an academy, except this time it was an actual Mario platformer instead of a sports title. I'd have called it "Super Mario Plumbing Academy".

I going to teach how to properly hit blocks with your head-a to get power ups and to avoid getting brain damage. While-a the next lesson with be how to kill things by jumping on top of them.

Ha. Seriously though. You actually didn't get to meet Mario until the end, just like in both Mario Golf GB and Mario Tennis GB. Then you'd have to team up with him to save Peach from Bowser (AGAIN). Until then, you'd go through a series of lessons in Speed (beat the clock), Power (kill the enemies) and Technique (Dodge the obstacles). Basically a Mario platformer except with stat building and a character of your own creation, not to mention a gaggle of past references and power-ups. Maybe it could've even used a level editor....

I had that idea too. It looked something like Maple Story Basically you just equipped different gear to modify simplistic "Mario stats," like Jump, Traction, Speed, and Number Projectiles. I figured characters could equip actual weapons to fight with as well, and similar to Mario Galaxy you have a health bar that "protects" you from losing powerups until its been wiped to zero. Yoshis are your steeds, there would be normal towns where coins are the currency, and you just get around the giant "Metroid" like world completely 2D platformer style.

I suspect if Nintendo were to do a Mii platformer, they'd probably try and make their own version of Littlebigplanet. Besides, I am already the hero of the Mushroom Kingdom! Mario's useless without me manipulating his every motion!

Wouldn't it be better to have Bowser kidnap Peach AND Mario, (Bowser realises he hasn't done it before and makes the story sound less . . . like past Mario games) so they now rely on YOU to save them. I mean think about, if you still have Mario left, wouldn't he just go on he merry way and save Peach like all the other times? It also evokes the whole student saving their teacher/mentor by putting the skills Mario has taught you into action as well. There's some sort of aesop in there . . .

I guess that could work, except for the part about Bowser realize he hadn't kidnapped Mario before....because he has. Twice. Mario is Missing! and Super Princess Peach.
But yeah, that's an even better idea for an ending. I'll go with that.

Wii Sports Wii Play Wii Music Wii Fit Wii Chess And now... Wii Jump! I guess that could work, except for the part about Bowser realize he hadn't kidnapped Mario before....because he has. Twice. Mario is Missing! and Super Princess Peach. You forgot Super Mario 64 DS. though indirectly, Mario is indeed captured under Bowser's plan.

What if Bowser kidnaps EVERYONE, including all the Miis on your system. And you have no choice but to watch in abject terror as Bowser at last unleashes his evil plan and you're not able to do a damn thing. After that, it's just a matter of waiting until your turn in the public executions where you are robbed of the last of your lives and sent to the Underwhere after your game is over.
Good times.

Mii Chuck Norris is sadly no match for the giant disembodied hand.

May as well make Bowser the main character then. Main goal is to kidnap everybody. ;D
Bowser's Inside Story is actually the closest thing we have to a Bowser game so far from what I've seen of it. Can't wait for that one. Why isn't there any discussion on it?
