It actually wasn't Lakithunder you had to beat with Mini Mario. It was Petey Piranha. But, I guess he isn't as memorable as Lakithunder, eh? (Lakithunder does have the whole instigating the game to his credit. He's probably behind the lightning in the beginning.)

I wonder if the bosses will get harder if there are more people... Probably not, but its a neat idea.

Nice. I really think these guys are world bosses, not mini bosses.

Nice. I really think these guys are world bosses, not mini bosses. I think we pretty much already knew that.

Oh yeah... Who was the one who thought they were replacing Junior then? Was that on the DKU? I forgot...

I think it was more about them replacing Junior in the fact that we've never seen both sets of Bowser's kids (that is, the Koopalings and Junior) in the same game.

Oh awesome. Once again he actually looks slightly challenging, compared to Bowser JR on the DS. It's awesome to see them with their crazy hairstyles too. This game's quite fanservicy atm with Yoshi and now the Koopalings, I mean most modern fans don't even seem to know of the Koopalings, so they can't of been crying out for them. Whatever the case it's awesome to see them in 3d, and I'd actually quite like to see whether they have any role beyond simply bosses. Once again the fact they jump off after the fight implies that they return later. Maybe we'll see a giant Mechabowser with them all in it?
Also according to the poster of the video 'Yeah, he is the boss of the tower stage from the demo. In the full video I got this clip from, you can see them play through the whole stage before they fight him...and when the stage starts, it displays on the screen that it is the level one mini-fortress. Like I said, it's possible Nintendo changed some things for the demo. Maybe Larry isn't supposed to be the boss of that tower stage, but they changed it so they could have two playable koopaling fights at E3.'
So it looks like they might only be Minibosses, not that I mind, the fact they're there at all is good enough for me. As the guy said it is just a demo so it could change.

I can't wait for 3D artwork renders of all seven of the Koopalings.

I agree, I hope they do like they did with the DS original and release the artwork in advance. I have to admit even seeing something like a Buzzy Beetle in 3d for the first time interested me in the game (as I enjoy looking at various designs such as enemies, levels, vehicles etc of games and films almost as much as playing/watching them)

Buzzy Beetles are apparently the most underrated Mario enemy character there is.
I do hope more NSMB Wii artwork comes out about next month or so.

a better quality version of that same Larry footage. It features the whole stage, not just the boss fight. Am I the only one who thinks it looks like he has a blue shell now?
