Those evolution methods are funny. I'm glad they came up with new ones. About Hihidaruma's form, it gains the Psychic type, its stats get rearranged, and it's called "Daruma form"... I guess it loses its limbs? Remember the commercial where Iris was shown as a character in the game? The man next to her was Shaga, the alternate Gym Leader ( click). Here's a more complete Badge screen in Pokémon White. Ability and move stuff: - Lightningrod now raises Special Attack if the user is hit by an Electric-type attack.
- Psycho Shock is Psychic-type, Special, has 80 Power, 100% Accuracy
- Venom Shock is Poison-type, Special, has 65 Power, 100% Accuracy, its power is doubled if target is already poisoned
- Ankle Sweep is Fighting-type, Physical, has 60 Power, 100% Accuracy, 20 max PP, lowers target's Speed
- Get Even is Normal-type, Physical, has 70 Power, 100% Accuracy, 5 max PP, its power increases if and ally was fainted last turn
- Volt Change is Electric-type, Physical, has 70 Power, 100% Accuracy, basically an Electric-type U-turn
- Ice Breath is Ice-type, Special, 40 Power, 100% Accuracy, always scores a critical hit
- Dragon Tail is Dragon-type, Physical, 60 Power, 90% Accuracy, strikes last and may hit multiple targets
- Cheer Up ups Attack and Special Attack
Various: - The Professor gives you a Lucky Egg
- The number of PC boxes increases eventually.

They're as different to each other as the three pixies were in the last generation, so *shrugs* Sure, but these yokai dudes have the exact same pose. Perhaps they're animated differently, but it still feels kinda cheap. By the way when thinking about the older games I remembered (but can no longer find..) what I think was this bulbadia article about pre-release Pokemon Red/Green sketches. What I understand was that originally the game was going to take place in 4 neighboring regions, each with 8 gym leaders and 1 member of the elite four. So you had to defeat 32 gym leaders and all elite dudes to beat the game. Wayyy to big for 1 gameboy title so it became 4 elite dudes sitting in a single region and all that. What I find neat is that it seems they kept this in the back of their heads. With the previous 4 regions being near each other, with zubats and tentacools all hanging around there, while this new region actually takes place on a new continent with whole new monsters. Also TEi I love your new screen name ;D

A cleaner upload of the Pokémon White intro. Very human-focused, a first for the series. Serebii has updated with the base stats of all Pokémon.

Like it's traditional, Arty2 of Legendary Pokémon has compiled in his site the basic Pokémon species data ripped from the game From there we can learn the hidden abilities of Pokémon, which Serebii.net has posted right here. Most of the old Pokémon seem to have them, as well as new Pokémon. Since the hidden ability seems to be only one, the maximum of abilities for any species is 3. If you guys were wondering the abilities of the Pokémon mentioned in previous news, these are: - Bulbasaur: Chlorophyll
- Charmander: Solar Power (previously only belonging to Grass-type Pokémon)
- Squirtle: Rain Dish (previously exclusive to the Ludicolo family)
- Eevee: Anticipation
- Vaporeon: Hydration
- Jolteon: Quick Feet (what for? x-D)
- Flareon: Guts (again monstrous)
- Espeon: new ability, shared with Natu and Xatu
- Umbreon: Inner Focus, very useful for low-Speed strategies
- Leafeon: Chlorophyll, nice
- Glaceon: Ice Body
- Turtwig: Shell Armor
- Chimchar: Iron Fist, useful for those Fire Punches and ThunderPunches
- Piplup: new ability, shared with Purugly, Primeape family, Kamen Rider Pokémon, Wargle, Torneros and Voltros
Notable ones emphasized by Legendary Pokémon are: - Vulpix, Ninetales: Drought (previously the signature ability of legendary Groudon)
- Politoed: Drizzle (previously the signature ability of legendary Kyogre)
Also Blaziken with Speed Boost = AMAZING!! Chickens FTW!! Level-up movepool data has been published too. Serebii has now set up a fifth-generation Pokédex here.

More from ripped data - Pokémon that get new unique abilities from the Dream World: Ditto, Zangoose
- Shared abilities among few, from the Dream World: one for Lugia and Dragonite, and one for Registeel, Scizor and Metagross family
- Justice Heart, the ability of the musketeer legendaries, is also shared with the Arcanine family, Lucario and Gallade. Lucario and Gallade both shared Steadfast in the fourth generation, which in Japan is called "Indomitable Heart"
- As it had been told in advance, Meloetta's "Step Forme" is Normal/Fighting, a new type combination, rather than Normal/Psychic. Add that to the list of new type combinations, together with 3 of Rotom's appliance forms (Heat: Electric/Fire, Frost: Electric/Ice, Mow: Electric/Grass).
- The three wise monkeys get, from the Dream World, the abilities that were once exclusive of starters: Overgrow, Blaze and Torrent. They're almost starters anyway. I can see them being starters in a side game like a "Pokémon Colosseum 3".
- Basurao's two forms don't have anything particularly different in their base data except for their possible held item, which can be DeepSeaTooth in one version and DeepSeaScale in the other.
- Other one-gender Pokémon are the cloud god trio, which are male.
Random comment from PokéBeach's discovery post mentions that "Futachimaru's animation shows it picking up one of the shells on its legs and wielding it like a sword".

And here's a rip of the sounds and music in this game, not posted in the Music Thread because it's missing tags and is plain confusing. '45_wb sound data-047a.mp3' is awesome. Apparently there's a unique tune playing when your HP's in the red now, much like Skies of Arcadia I guess. It makes great use of that older soundeffect I suppose some familiar tracks can be a bit spoilery, but if you're reading this thread you probably don't give a shit anyway

Man, people have been saying those two are based off of Lucha Libre, but I'll be damned if I see it.

Hehe... They're some sort of reptiles that remind me of bullies, like Croagunk or Toxicroak. The second one's head scales could be like a punk mohawk. The first one looks like a Tokay from Oracle of Ages.

Anybody heard anything about gender differences in the new Pokémon? I haven't.
Also, does anywhere have pictures of all the alternate forms yet? I've seen alternates for angry fish and fully-evolved pigeon, but that's it.

Fully-evolved pigeon's is actually a gender difference Daikenki may have one, but I'd rather see sprites first.

The two judo guys are male only and the vulture is female only. Buffafro is male only as well. Not really gender differences, but similar.

Fully-evolved pigeon's is actually a gender difference Ah, okay. I heard it turned into that if it evolved in spring or something, but everyone seemed unsure and confused about it.
