Well for its actually more important that I see Cranky return more than any other character. Yup, but that's just me.

It's even more important Cranky has the excellently written lines and humour from the original series. We really need more of this 'back in my day' business and complaints about how the Tikis are nothing compared to what he had to go through as arcade DK.

Was there ever an exact date for this game's release date? I've checked IGN and Gamespot and both said Q4 2010
I remember that Nintendo did give one month for a game at E3, I think it was October... but I can't remember what game it was (though I think it was this one)

Yes, because apparently Mario is much more stronger than the Kremlings and the Tikis combined.

Well, Mario DID succeed in whooping a Kong's ass. That's something the Kremlings can't claim, and the Tikis aren't gonna shape up to be much better, after all, we aren't playing 'em. It's the law of fictional antagonists: They cannot win. Note my word is antagonist, by the way, not villain, as Cranky can hardly be called a villain even in the arcade days, where he was just an ape who got a little obsessed with a girl.

Yeah Mario's pretty much saved the day hundreds of times. I'm sure he could handle the Tikis and Kremlings at the same time.

It's been so long, it's time for the 90s' Donkey Kong to age and throw his "back in my day" Nah... it's more likely that Cranky himself appears and complains about how complicated are motion-sensing controllers or something.

Well, actually he wasn't even obsessed. He just kidnapped her to get back at Mario for holding him captive. Clever irony on his part.

Donkey Kong is obsessed with Pauline in the Mario vs. Donkey Kong games. And I am not convinced that Cranky Kong was Donkey Kong in the arcade games. Why would Baby Donkey Kong grow into a senior citizen if he is the same age as Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, Baby Peach, Baby Wario, and Baby Bowser? Shouldn't Mario, Luigi, Peach, Wario, and Bowser be senior citizens, too? Why would they base Baby Donkey Kong on the modern Donkey Kong and not on Cranky Kong himself? Shouldn't Baby Donkey Kong be named Baby Cranky and be a cranky baby like his elderly version? Talk about fridge logic.

No Arcadenik, Cranky is an elderly Donkey Kong Sr.
The current DK is either an older DK Jr. or Cranky's grandson. Doesn't matter which, but the fact remains is that Cranky is still an elderly DK Sr.
Baby DK is a moot point. We have no way to tell if he's a baby version of Cranky or an even younger DK Jr. Best not think about it.

The "Cranky Kong was the original Donkey Kong" theory conflicts with Yoshi's Island DS. That's what.

How? There isn't anything to say that Baby Donkey Kong isn't Donkey Kong JR., or DKC DK. So, any conflict is just in the minds of fanboys who think to hard about Mario games.
For that matter, is there anything to say that MvDK DK is the original DK? I always took it to be the current.

During the events of Yoshi's Island DS... we have six babies: Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, Baby Donkey Kong, Baby Peach, Baby Wario, and Baby Bowser. It is apparent that these babies are around the same age.
During the events of the original Donkey Kong games... we have an adult Mario and an adult Donkey Kong so it is apparent they are still around the same age. We were introduced to Donkey Kong Jr. and it is very clear that he is much younger than Mario and the other grown-up babies.
During the event of Donkey Kong Country games and from there on... we have Cranky Kong, who claims to be the original Donkey Kong from the arcade games, and we have Donkey Kong, who is implied to be Donkey Kong Jr. all grown up. So, how come Donkey Kong Jr. is suddenly the same age as Mario and the other grown-up babies and Donkey Kong is now much older than Mario and the other grown-up babies?

A wise man once wrote a mantra that can be applied to this situation..
If you're wondering how he eats and breathes, And other science facts, (lalala) Repeat to yourself "It's just a show, I should really just relax."
You should take Joel's advice.
