I know that one of Gulliver's quotes was posted, I think in the screenshot thread. He has three different Mario ones, the two you posted and one mentioning Admiral Bobbery.

I'm on a New Leaf binge, since I'm probably going to buy the game, so have another. There's a chance of getting a unique symbol on a tree stump whenever you cut a tree down. The Triforce is one of them. Technically, it's not said to be the triforce, but there is enough Zelda cameos in the game to make me say it's defiantly the force. And another Super Famicom controller cameo.

Apparently there's untranslated kanji in the game on the dairy products that reads "Yamauchi Dairy". Possibly a reference to Nintendo's former president Hiroshi Yamauchi.

@leon I came back after leaving my computer for a while and forgot about what was I reading. When I saw your reply, I thought you were talking aout Gulley talking about that in the Japanese version. (This won't be the first time overseas names get mentioned in Japan, as Bowser's overseas name is very often used in the Mario Kart series.)

This isn't a full list of cameos but some from the trailer and seen elsewhere. This is one heck of a FREE content update to a four year old (or 3.5 outside of Japan) game. If you want to avoid spoilers leave. SPOILERS!-Splatoon furniture and clothing items. (via amiibo) -Wolf Link, Medli, Pig Ganon and Epona as villagers with Zelda furniture, including Gossip Stones. (via amiibo) Monster Hunter Stories currently Japan only amiibo ARE comptible with the western versions granting Feyline characters in the game. (via amiibo) -Scanning in the Smash Bros Viliger gives you this.-Wii U and New 3DS furniture give access to AC: Desert Island Escape (from amiibo Festival) and the all new AC Puzzle League. Both "systems" even load up their own Wii U and 3DS logos. -Beating Puzzle League earns PL related furniture and clothing items that resemble Lip's from Panel de Pon (WOW! Somebody didn't forget about her!)
