That doesn't mean Xenoblade deserves a character more than DK deserves a third one! The entire Donkey Kong brand has been around for 33 fucking years, Xenoblade's only been around for four. DK is also in Nintendo's top 5 or 6 most successful brands. Where the hell does Xenoblade stand on that front? Or does simply being new or "obscure" automatically make it more deserving regardless of how big, long-running, important or successful another brand is? Is that the logic on which you're operating? Cuz it sure as hell seems like it. No, I'm operating under the logic that this is a crossover fighter, not an industry trade show. I'd rather see something that's not there than more of something that already is. Is that so hard to understand? You already don't like Dixie to begin with so it sounds like you're just scraping for reasons why she's suddenly undeserving. I don't dislike Dixie, I just don't spend as much time thinking about her as you do. She's been in one game I've played in the last 15 years, and I didn't play as her. I'm sorry. It's not about scraping a barrel for excuses not to put her in, she's just not a character that'd ever occur to me. When I think Donkey Kong, I think DK, Diddy, Cranky, Funky, Rambi and Enguarde before Dixie. She just hasn't ever left an impression on me. Compare Game & Wario's sales and critiques to Tropical Freeze's. Hell, compare the original Donkey Kong as well as Donkey Kong Country's sheer impact on game history to Wario Land or WarioWare's. It's not just me, it's in general. Donkey Kong is a bigger, more successful, and overall more important "franchise" than Wario. Period end. Again... that's all subjective. And this is maybe a cultural difference. I only ever knew one person who owned a SNES growing up. DKC 1 and 2 were pretty popular (I didn't even know there was a third until years later) but were both overshadowed massively by Yoshi's Island, which in turn was overshadowed massively by Sonic 3 & Knuckles, because everybody here had a Mega Drive. So from my perspective, Donkey Kong was never really a big deal. Everybody had Game Boys though, and the Wario Land games were a huge deal here. And I'd rather have reps for series that actually fucking deserve reps. In a perfect world, both DK and F-Zero would've gotten an extra rep, but given the odds, all I wanted to see was one new DK rep. That's it. And apparently that was too much to ask for. And this is where you're fucking pissing me off. No series deserves reps more than any other series. You make it sound like this is anything other than your own fanboyism over certain series. We're not handing out food to starving children here, it's characters in a crossover fighter. You're pissed off that series you don't like got in over your pet series which has been repped in every single game in the series getting even more reps. Dixie Kong is not a person, she's not sat at home now dejected because she didn't get in. She doesn't "deserve" anything. And I wasn't "pissy about people liking Shulk", I called Leon into question for claiming Xenoblade is absolute dire need of a character. And it seems he actually agreed with me about Dixie's importance, so you started this argument with me for basically nothing! You called it into question in the most insulting and condescending way possible. All I did was explain my reasons for preferring Shulk over another DK character, and then you literally called my opinion shit. I swear to god you say this shit just to be contrarian. Your words. I'm fucking done with this conversation.

Admittedly there have been no trophies of them so far, but it's easy to make shit up on the internet. Umm... about that.

What are these rumors about the 3DS - Wii U link enabling DLC? I mean it's something anyone could make up but they're mentioning specifically Mewtwo and Ridley in them. I guess that'd reflect what are the most-wanted missing characters if fake. Well, it just seems like anither baseless rumor to me. There was a Reddit post compiling the most discussed characters. Ridley = 31,397 King K. Rool = 9,244 Palutena = 4,246 Bandana Dee = 3,309 Pac-Man = 3,283 Isaac = 2,911 Shulk = 2,809 Krystal = 2,427 Robin (Tactician) = 2,371 Chrom = 2,368

Haven't replied in a while . . . . . . First off lets just chill, It's going to be impossible to make a Smash Bros game that satisfies everyone wants/needs/requests. I'm saddened about the ESRB leak ended up being the final roster, but I'm happy with the majority of the newcomers, especially the ones I wanted to have for Brawl (Villager, Little Mac and Mii's). But I hope the rumor of the Wii U release giving the 3DS version new characters/DLC holds true. The two things that has to be mentioned about the character selection after all this seems to be: - There doesn't seem to be any f***ing "rules" any more about adding new characters/movesets against franchise history/longevity Eg: characters seem to be added manly for "how could they fight/play/be different from another (Such as Little Mac , Rosalina, Robin, Ice Climbers, Shulk) EG: Or if we can't come up with enough ideas for moves from that character from their own game, either use other character from that game/franchise (certain EarthBound character attacks, Robin using Nosferatu, G&W moveset) Or use another game/s entirely (Balloon Trip recovery for Villager, DH Dog using Hogan's Alley/Wild Gunman Zapper related games) - And "oh S***, we're running out of time to add new character, send in the clones Eg Clone characters (but certain ones must get first priority for new Final Smashes otherwise they would look really out of place (Don't want Ganondorf running over people in the Blue Falcon))
Also the DH Dog, I can't believe it's actually real. This is all I could imagine with ArcadenikThe Wild Gunman stuff is crazy surreal. And that Final Smash. The victim (and Hogan Alley cutouts and cans) get shot repeatedly by the Gunman and then the Ducks fly in front of it at the end. Is'nt that like a massive reference to a John Woo shootout (complete with birds) in like 5 seconds? It's so fast and over the top, it's seems like something that shouldn't exist and yet it does. It's like a crazy fan suggestion made real and it's awesome. Retro Mute City is awesome to see, of all the F-Zero's to reference, they went back to the beginning ( Oh, Captain Falcon when will you get a new game?) Also the 2D F-Zero can serve as a reference to the handheld F-Zero Games and probably be less taxing on the 3DS hardware. It also wants to make me want to buy and play the SNES F-Zero funnily enough. I'm not against the Rhythm Heaven series, I'm just worry I have terrible rhythm skills. Final Question did the DK series even get an Assist Trophy?

Final Question did the DK series even get an Assist Trophy? Nope, and I'll admit that seems a little unfair considering the newest game was so popular. Anyways, in custom move news: Ganondorf gets at least one where he uses his sword! Ness gets one with PK Freeze.

No, I'm operating under the logic that this is a crossover fighter, not an industry trade show. I'd rather see something that's not there than more of something that already is. Is that so hard to understand? Yes it is, because said crossover fighter's balance of representation is fucked in the ass. Just because it's not already there doesn't automatically make it better than something that already is. That makes next to no sense.
So from my perspective, Donkey Kong was never really a big deal. Everybody had Game Boys though, and the Wario Land games were a huge deal here. How the fuck is it that you always, always manage to be the one person who has a completely different perspective than everybody else? Is it any wonder I called you contrarian?
And this is where you're fucking pissing me off. No series deserves reps more than any other series. You make it sound like this is anything other than your own fanboyism over certain series. We're not handing out food to starving children here, it's characters in a crossover fighter. You're pissed off that series you don't like got in over your pet series which has been repped in every single game in the series getting even more reps. God fucking dammit, I didn't fucking say I didn't like Xenoblade! I'm pissed that an important series which I also happen to really like didn't get one other rep. It did deserve another rep! It's not fanboyism! I could just as easily call you a Xenoblade fanboy just because you apparently think Shulk is more justified than Dixie! Fuck, I can't even say I got a new stage or a new Assist Trophy. Earthbound and F-Zero each got new stages, Zelda and Metroid got new Assist Trophies, and Kid Icarus got a fuckload of items in addition to its two new reps! What did DK get? Enemy drones? You really expect me to just sit and be content with that?
You called it into question in the most insulting and condescending way possible. Who the hell are you to decide that? I was asking Leon, not you!
All I did was explain my reasons for preferring Shulk over another DK character, In a way that was just as condescending as I allegedly was, if not more so.
and then you literally called my opinion shit. I didn't "call your opinion shit." I was using a more general form of the term "shit", as in "stuff". But more than anything I was pointing out how you always manage to have some sort of contrarian attitude about something. How do I know you're not doing that on purpose?

Right. Well now you're just hijacking the thread to personally insult me, so I'm not dealing with this. Anyways, in custom move news: Ganondorf gets at least one where he uses his sword! Awesome! Shame they didn't redo his entire moveset and make the old one custom moves, but this is cool at least.

Bahahaha. This really reminds me of the post-leak Brawl arguments about Snake 'stealing' someone's slot. Might aswell have it now and get it over with. Eg: characters seem to be added manly for "how could they fight/play/be different from another (Such as Little Mac , Rosalina, Robin, Ice Climbers, Shulk) In fact I'm pretty sure Sakurai stated exactly this at some point. Which is why I'm very happy with all the (non-clone) newcomers, they all bring a new, distinct playstyle to Smash Bros. Anyways, in custom move news: Ganondorf gets at least one where he uses his sword! Ness gets one with PK Freeze. Oh, cool beans! I was worried all the custom specials would end up being 'same thing but faster/slower/electric/mobile/etc.' And I figured Ness would get different PK's with his new voice. I like the new one, kinda reminds me of his silly N64 VA.

About Wolf:
Nobody was pissed off that StarFox got three characters...
...But everybody got pissed off that it wasn't Krystal.

About Wolf: Nobody was pissed off that StarFox got three characters... ...But everybody got pissed off that it wasn't Krystal. Oh no, a LOT of people were upset about there being three spacies. When it was seen that both Falco and Wolf had Landmasters, shit really hit the fan.

Falco allegedly still has a Landmaster, so I imagine people aren't too happy about that.

I was totally banking on that one leak, despite the Chrome nonsense Even if we didn't get a RH fighter, I was hoping for a wacky RH stage. Hey, maybe the WiiU version'll have one! 9/10 more weeks until we find out! There's also this:
