Wonder if this will start being offered outside of Japan, completely unlike the MSX (and disappointingly so!)

I just watched the intro of Japanese Dreamcast game Segagaga on YouTube. Your mission is to save Sega in the year 2051 from Dogma. youtube.com/watch?v=AQ3QAlwTJoUHardcore Sega fans will find something familiar about the little guy that looks like a monkey, managing a store. Even though it is Dreamcast, it might appear.

You don't have to be a Sega fan to love Alex Kidd!

He still looks like a monkey.
Or an alien.

I believe he's supposed to be from Mars. Too bad the later games never touched on that. I say he needs to brought back.

Mars? Where on Earth did you see that? I thought he was just supposed to be a little dude with a heavy punch.

Alex Kidd was never from Mars. That sounds like bad fan fiction.

I don't know too much about SEGA, so the only characters i recognized are Alex Kidd(only because you mentioned him), Sonic, Ristar, and the guys from Golden Axe. I wish that SEGA had released Segagaga here. I definitely would like to play it.

I don't know... it looked like a good idea, but badly implemented. It barely looked like a game at all, and definitely didn't seem to have much to do with Sega. Watch a few more of those videos... it looks like walking around dark corridors, badly animated, and occasionally taking part in a standard RPG battle with an enemy that seems to have nothing to do with Sega. Kinda disappointing. But it did lead me to look at Namco X Capcom videos as well. That looks awesome!

Actually, those battles are against Sega employees. They're extremely bizarre looking... employees who are mecha fans are depicted as large robots and stuff. And battles are played out as shouting matches between you and your staff, yelling things like "Get back to work!" and "You'll never have a girlfriend!" As the game progresses, you get a development team together to try and turn Sega's fortunes around. Depending on who you get, things will turn out differently. For example, there's a military-type director who'll just churn out imitations of other companies' games. It really is one of the most bizarre games I've ever seen.

Too bad Nintendo didn't make a game like that. Guess the closest thing we'll have is WarioWare.

Good News: www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3158811Looks like the Neo Geo VC will be launched worldwide this summer. The interview suggests that 24 or so titles will come out a year, and that they aren't planning to shove one franchise down our throats either. Smart choice.

What about Gamefreak's Pulseman for Sega It's been referenced in a few Gamefreak games with Nintendo... I don't see why not. I really, really liked that game
