As for SNES remakes, somebody please tell me why Super Metroid and Earthbound have not been remade for the GBA now that it's end is near.

Earthbound has been remade for the GBA... it just got released in Japan as Mother 1+2, and somehow left off all US and European release lists for no good reason.
Super Metroid wasn't released because the game would probably have to be reworked quite a lot to fit on the GBA's odd-shaped screen... and the original made use of every button on the SNES pad, while the GBA has two fewer buttons.

Then make it on DS! The resolution of the GBA screen is terribly small, but a SNES game screen minus the part used for displaying status can fit in the DS. There aren't really many SFC/SNES titles remade for GBA.

But there are enough to annoy people to death, YL Super Metroid was rumored to be in the works, then Fusion popped up. So maybe Super BECAME Fusion? It wouldn't be the first time a remake ended up becoming a game in of itself (Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is the first example that comes to mind, and there's also Yoshi's Story for GBA becoming Topsy-Turvy). You know what Nintendo really ought to do is take a page from Sega Ages and Hudson Classics (or whatever they call it), and rehash all their classic games with nicer graphics and sound on the Cube. They don't need upgrades... just the exact same game, with basic 3D graphics and remixed music. It worked for Sega (games like Golden Axe and Altered Beast are incredibly popular on the PS2 now), and Hudson even rereleased Adventure Island in this way on the Gamecube over in Japan. I would be just as happy with a third Star Tropics as I would be with a revamped Star Tropics, as simple of a overhaul as they could do. Of course, they would have to be budget priced or nobody would want to buy them... 50 bucks on a 3D version of Ice Climber isn't exactly a smart business move

From the sounds of it, my initial premonition was right, and a lot of the downloadable Rev games will be tweaked or updated somewhat. So in a way your dream might become reality.
I can see it now... cute little Balloon Fighters against a range of prerendered backdrops. Ahh, bliss.

Yeah, I did heard of SEGA and Hudson remake games and release them on GC.
Actually if they ever make comething like Super Mari All-Stars again, I will certainly buy it.

Oh, I knew of that Fry, but I'm thinking they will be updates like 8-bit to 16-bit, and nothing really major. Like the Bubble Bobble remake for GBA... same game, just nicer quality graphics. I'd like to see full-blown remakes, with everything revamped. So we'll see what Nintendo's got up their sleeve...
