...the best weapon to use against Mothula is the humble bee! I think you mean " bumble bee". Anyways, Tei, the Smelly Hippie, the reason I put this here is since it is on the VC, and VC is a property of Wii, then this could go here. No, I meant humble. Seriously I did. Not a typo this time! Saim is in Aus... so will probably get it the same time as Europe. It says it right there in his post, under his avatar

Something I really love about A Link to the Past is that it doesn't have only the standard nine dungeons. It has a whopping 12! A lot of SNES games felt bigger and better because of touches like that. Ocarina of Time felt a little short to me because of that. I thought, "Okay, three dungeons as young Link, and nine more as teenage Link, right?" Nope. Before I knew it, I was facing Ganon. It was almost like a step backwards. But I digress. ALttP is still one of the top Zelda games, even compared to OoT and Twilight Princess. It set the standards for every Zelda game to follow. Very true. That, I believe, was supposed to be explored in Ura Zelda, which, contrary to popular belief is NOT EXACTLY Master Quest!

And, contrary to an even more widespread belief - NEVER RELEASED ANYWHERE EVER!! NOT EVEN JAPAN!!

Anyways, Tei, the Smelly Hippie, the reason I put this here is since it is on the VC, and VC is a property of Wii, then this could go here. I actually asked about this myself a while back, when I posted my SM64 Virtual Console review. I think shortly thereafter, Fryguy edited the subheading for the Classic Forum to include Virtual Console games; it may be on a new system, but they're still direct ports of games that otherwise fit into the Classic Forum's typeset. And as if to prove my point, the topic itself has been moved to its appropriate place! So I don't think much more needs saying. :) The more you know, my friend. EDIT: and so I don't stray too far off topic...I never played much of LttP. I got...pretty far in really, but it was only in bits and pieces and it couldn't keep my attention for very long. 2D Zelda and I don't mesh very well.

2D Zelda and I don't mesh very well. I have the same problem. I've finished every 3D Zelda 100%, but never finished a 2D one. In fact, the first Zelda I got was Link's Awakening, but I never got further than Catfish's Maw.

I also beat Four S-words Adventures with some friends, but we wound up bickering so much during the course of the game that we don't want to look back on it.

You have to field your team carefully. I'm about to do the whole thing again myself.

You have to field your team carefully. I'm about to do the whole thing again myself. Most of the bickering was fighting over Force Gems. There's nothing you can really do to prevent that from happening, because often times you die right next to one of your other guys and they suck up all the gems you drop by proxy. When it wasn't Force Gems, it was weapons, and when it wasn't weapons it was because we were horrendously stuck somewhere. And then we would fight over bosses, too. Careful fielding had nothing to do with it; we were all playing a game that derives from a series best fit for one person.

Sounds like a lack of teamwork to me. When I played with my friends we had a kind of unspoken understanding that if someone died, you didn't touch their Force Gems. But we play a lot of co-op games... to us, whoever won a stage was more something to chuckle at on our way through the game than something to aim for.

Which boss is Mothula again? I always have trouble remembering thier names. He's the boss of Skull Woods (Dark world version of the Lost woods). Has a moth-like appearence (hence Mothula) and fires out rings of fire/ throws the spikes lining the edge of the room at you. Easily beaten with the Fire Rod/Tempered Sword.
