Annoying how Valve did that again and ended it so quickly, would be nice if they just let it go for 2 days straight.
Also managed to get 2 more acheveiments (blowing up people with pumpkin bombs and candy collecter which gives you a mask), and my only weapon unlock was the Force-a-Nature, which makes me happy because it's new (for me).

Or just buy a PC copy already? Hell I'd even gift you one if I knew they'd pull the limited $2.50 offer again. (it's already over) I don't do PC gaming. XD

Ah, too bad. Though I don't think they'll patch up the 360 ver. till all the class updates are completed. By the way they did the $2.50 offer AGAIN for an even shorter time, which is proof to me they're just having fun screwing around with the whiny steam forum posters who keep crying about missing these super deals.

From the official Team Fortress 2 website: Those of you who pre-ordered Left 4 Dead 2 (for PC on Steam or at participating retailers) now have exclusive access to the momentous event they said would never happen. For the first time in history, two separate Valve universes collide. That's right: it's a Left 4 Dead/Team Fortress crossover! This is not fan fiction! This is not a dream sequence! The characters from Team Fortress 2 will team-up with Bill's hat from Left 4 Dead 1!
And lest you think this is just some marketing gimmick, here's the intricate back-story justifying it: while conducting a science experiment on parallel dimensions, Bill's hat fell off a table into the Team Fortress universe.
Is Bill's hat the tenth class? All will be revealed in time, but don't hold your breath. Will you get to wear Bill's hat right now, in TF2? Go ahead and hold your breath—now exhale like a champ, because you're a winner and it's happening.
Even if you haven't pre-ordered yet, it's not too late to get in on this unprecedented hat-wearing, history-making crossover event! Pre-order Left 4 Dead 2 now, and the hat is yours. (Also the game at 10% off.)Link with pictures.Come on, Valve, what the fuck? It's a freebie! Why aren't you including it in the 360 version? Christ on a cracker.

I'm downloaded the L4D2 demo, (PC version) I can get to the menu screen just fine but when I load up the single player game, it just boots me out of the game and the entire game ends. Is there anyone else here with this problem?
ALSO 2500 post!

I'm not, but then again I got the XBox version. The only problems I had with it were lag when playing over the internet and the fact that two chapters of a single campaign is a fitting size for a demo, but exceptionally cruel :<

Looks like that little comic was leading up to the Team Fortress 2 "War" Update.From the looks of it, it's another Class Vs. Class update, (The classes being Soldier and Demoman) with the added bonus of a fourth weapon awarded to the class which kills the other class the most times before the update goes live. So, go play as Demoman and blow shit up. ..... Or we'll find you.

For thosen with a PS3 (and online), the Pixeljunk series (from Q-games) will have a special offer on the series. A 3-in-1 combo deal of Racers, Monsters *and* Eden altogether for just $19.99. Source.

Still, the Demos need 200,000 Soldier kills in order to catch up... I have to admit, I'm partial to the Soldier because explosives are not an accurate means of attacking...but I'm curious to find out what new weapons the Demo will have that may balance that out. And while I can't contribute to the cause, I wish you luck, Adam. ;D

I hate the Demoman. It's my least played class (1 hour compared to 200+ hours of engineer ) Just feels cheap to me to pile up stickybombs and camp while waiting for a passersby to go around the corner, what a lot of people seem to enjoy doing. Also one random Demoman crit can really screw you over. I'd play Soldier and FIGHT THE FIGHT, but I'd only get wasted mercilessly by Demomen. So instead I'm kritzspamming the shit out of any Soldiers nearby. I don't even play Soldier that much, but 'BY GOD, I know what’s IMPORTANT, and it’s that SOLDIERS get it and the DEMOMAN DOES NOT.'

Says the Engineer player. XD Sentries are the cheapest of cheapiness in TF2, unless they got severely nerfed in the PC version. Scouts can't outrun them, Demos don't have the accuracy to bomb them, Soldiers move too slowly to blast them with rockets very effectively...and every Spy I've met (myself included) sucks at sapping the damn things.

How are they cheap if spies you play with are incompetent Plus if they're right around a corner you can always just walk back n forth while quickly blasting rockets/stickies. 4 well aimed stickies can instantly ruin an engineer's little fort. However thanks to the Scout update you actually can outrun sentries with that BONK Energy Drink. It's awesome in 2fort. Still, you can't pick up intel in blurry mode and there's always some jackass engineer sitting atop a sentry right in front of the intel the whole bloody game (I guess I should point out that as engineer I don't sit in a corner and whack a sentry the whole time. I like to run around and place lvl 1 sentries at the front line in unexpected places instead.)

XD Also, all this talk about Team Fortress 2 is seriously tempting me into getting the PC version. I've got no experience in PC gaming, though, so I know I'll be outclassed. Meh -_-;

Before I bought TF2 I looked at my mouse and keyboard and scratched my head, wondering how the hell people play FPS with a mouse. Weeks later and I don't ever want to go back using a controller. Anyway, it's almost christmas/new years eve. Last year the Steam store had these insane deals with a LOT of games having a 50% discount. You could wait and try it out then Also they made Demoman fun.
