Fryguy64: I'm a wild card. Jul 25, 2024 15:43:09 GMT -5
Fryguy64: I'm also wary these days of announcing anything before I know I can finish it. Which in this case is "about 24 hours before I desperately want to share it" Jul 25, 2024 15:44:00 GMT -5
Evie ❤✿: Haha, well take ykur time ^^ Jul 27, 2024 10:28:18 GMT -5
nocturnal YL: According to Nintendo Everything, in the North American eShop, a bunch of Atelier games went on sale at 50% off for the older titles. Jul 29, 2024 12:53:43 GMT -5
nocturnal YL: I'm *finally* done making optimal equipment in Atelier Shallie DX. Had some pretty bad luck at grinding item properties, but now I finally have a build where the characters dodge enemy attacks half of the time. Jul 30, 2024 12:14:02 GMT -5
nocturnal YL: Unfortunately, unlike in the original PS3 version, they can't dodge almost 100% of all attacks, but it's still good enough to trivialise most boss battles at the highest difficulty. I'm finally ready to move on. I think. Jul 30, 2024 12:18:17 GMT -5
Nester the Lark: So, I started up Smash for Wii U again. I played Classic Mode on difficulty 6.0, and ended up fighting a boss I had never seen or heard of before. Jul 31, 2024 21:23:18 GMT -5 *
Fryguy64: Nester, which boss was it? Aug 1, 2024 6:04:57 GMT -5
nocturnal YL: Pretty sure that's Master Core (and earlier forms). Aug 1, 2024 7:05:50 GMT -5
Nester the Lark: Yeah, it was Master Core. Apparently it shows up at difficulty 5.5 and higher. I had never played at that level before. Aug 1, 2024 8:02:59 GMT -5
Fryguy64: To be fair, I rarely ever did. I think I fought Master Core twice and then stuck to the lower difficulties :D Aug 1, 2024 10:04:04 GMT -5
Boo Destroyer: And on top of that, the higher the difficulty you go, the more forms you'll see. Aug 9, 2024 9:23:49 GMT -5
Nester the Lark: It's always nice to see old NinDB members pop in once in a while. Aug 11, 2024 13:26:15 GMT -5
Nester the Lark: What do you think the chances are of Nintendo releasing an upgraded version of Smash Bros Ultimate on the Switch 2? Aug 18, 2024 12:56:05 GMT -5
nocturnal YL: 60%-ish. They've come to a point where the only way forward, if they decide to go ahead, is to modify the existing game. The question is, are they going down this path? I'd have thought no 10 years ago, but Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a thing. Aug 18, 2024 14:49:32 GMT -5
Johans Nidorino: SSB Ultimate already was that to SSB4 the way I always saw it. Halfway between an upgrade and a true sequel. Aug 19, 2024 12:43:11 GMT -5
Fryguy64: Unless Sakurai commits to another, I think the chance of a Deluxe Pack for Smash (or any other game released in the past decade) is at about 100%. Aug 20, 2024 9:24:59 GMT -5
Nester the Lark: I haven't seen this reported anywhere yet, but according to the latest Kit & Krysta podcast, Don James recently retired from Nintendo of America. He was one of the very first staff members, having joined in 1981. Aug 22, 2024 13:33:34 GMT -5
nocturnal YL: At the final chapter of Shining Resonance Refrain. It's a pretty ordinary game; nothing to get excited about, but it doesn't have parts that really need improvement either. It does have the same problem every single ARPG seems to have though: grinding. Aug 25, 2024 8:58:08 GMT -5
nocturnal YL: Like a lot of other ARPGs, a difference in a few levels can completely turn tides. This game is not particularly grind-y, but it still feels like a lot of busywork. There's also grinding for particular materials. It's not particularly bad though. Aug 25, 2024 9:01:54 GMT -5 *
