i.imgur.com/0uBu7MU.pngI normally don't trust these things, but while ignoring the first part, everything else (or at least some of it) might end up being true.

Nothing about that seems true at all.

Of course not. It's trying to take advantage of people in their distraught state.

Reminder, more songs have been uploaded to this channel! Most of these channels upload the music rips to the same playlist as these cut and paste versions they patched up from trailer/gameplay footage months ago, so it's kinda hard to know if some of these are the full versions or not. Still there's surprisingly a lot of music in there. Apparently it's mostly used for Smash Run, but I wonder why they'd limit the VS stages to just 2? Also this channel has a pretty upbeat Mysterious Murasame Castle remix. And I dig that goofy 8bit main theme remix they use for that Streetpass game.

A lot of Smash 3DS's limitations (like only Stadium modes have replays, no Special Smash even though it's available through Smash Run, no My Music even though there are lots of excess songs) seem arbitrary. It's like they're actively pushing the players to the Wii U version (if it is like Brawl, feature-wise). Which is too bad, because Smash 3DS has a handful of good stages - not good enough to fill a game (not a fan of Jungle Japes III, thanks), but it'd be a waste to confine them to Smash 3DS. FFShrine has a nice rip of the entire game's soundtrack (as individual files, I think). It's also uploaded to YouTube. HERE

This needs to be canon.

Apparently there's a glitch in the game where if Dr. Mario is in a match the crowd might start cheering "Nana! Popo!" It's possible that the Ice Climbers were pretty far into development but after realizing they couldn't implement them on 3DS were replaced by Dr. Mario. Probably because he's so easy to program (wish it was Wolf instead but I guess Dr. Mario and Mario share the same voice clips.) This IS still just speculation, but you can hear the clip here.

Apparently Sakurai said in his regular Famitsu column that they had Ice Climbers working in the Wii U version, but took them out because they had performance issues with them on the 3DS. Which kinda sucks.

Which kinda sucks. Another thing Sakurai mentioned (which I won't link to because I hate Shitaku) is that he considers Smash Bros on 3DS to be SSB 4 and Smash Bros on Wii U to be SSB 5. Namco had mentioned wanting to release "Super Smash Bros 6" (their words) in 2015. Seems crazy. Maybe they anticipate pulling a Capcom? SUPER Super Smash Bros? SUPER Super Smash Bros Ultra?

Super Smash Bros. Tag Tournament? Super Smash Bros. Champion Edition? Super Smash Bros. Turbo? Ultra Smash Bros.? Super Smash Bros. 6th Strike? Oh and: I prefer to call it "Blowtaku" myself.

Which kinda sucks. This really blows. First hard evidence of the 3DS holding back the WiiU version I guess. Though the fact they were planned during development and not just thrown out for being 'irrelevant' kinda makes me happy and gives me hope for their return next installment. (Or WiiU DLC. C'monnn the games don't even have the same stages, screw having identical rosters Sakurai!) Also I'd totally buy a Capcom style Smash Bros expansion (unless they go full on Capcom and add Evil Mario and Oni Bowser because f that)

(Or WiiU DLC. C'monnn the games don't even have the same stages, screw having identical rosters Sakurai!) So much this. My biggest gripe with these new games (I still like them, see other thread), besides the fact that they're separate games, is that they decided that both games should have the same roster for some reason (it's not like customisation is 3DS-only). This restriction because of a transfer function that won't be used often (once you've got your own ultimate character, you probably won't revisit it)? Come on.

unless they go full on Capcom and add Evil Mario and Oni Bowser because of that Well, Sakurai's already thrown in Dr. Mario, Dark Pit, and Giga Bowser so I don't think there's anything more Capcom would do.

Throw in clones of every other veteran that doesn't already have a clone. DK clone, Samus clone, Yoshi clone, Kirby clone, Pikachu clone (Pichu?), etc.
