Meguroko makes me want to start an ancient Egypt theme team. It could be truly great!
Random Battle also seems like a great feature. Playing with friends is great, but sometimes there's just no one around to play with.

Good news for Twitter fans. Nintendo is going to be tweeting their conference. Just follow NintendoAmerica. I don't know how much people will care since there's going to be a live stream, but there you go.

ONM has kindly posted a list of announced games for E3 2010. Of course, I'm excited for Zelda Wii and Metroud: Other M. Ghost Trick looks like it might be fun as well.

I'm torn on the cyber-type. On one hand, it'd make it possible for MissingNo to be an official Pokemon (the Glitch Pokemon!). On the other hand, I'm not sure whether we really need a new type.
Actually, with the ability to dress up like a Rocket in HG/SS and comments about how popular they are, I'm wondering if they're going to finally allow you to join an evil team. Everyone has already thought of it by now, I'm sure. I still like the idea of being the bad guy for once.

It's a bit odd that kids so young get to wander around with out supervision, but I think that's part of what Satoshi Tajiri was going for. I seem to remember a quote from him that goes something like: "When you're a kid and get your first bike, you want to go somewhere you've never been before. That's like Pokémon." I know when I got my first bike, I wanted to go places I've never been and do it myself.

Thank you very much. Nice cakes, YL. I know the one is from Portal, but what's the other one from? In any case, I can never have enough cake and ice cream.

Also the slots were censored out and replaced with Voltorb flip. That's a piece of censorship I don't mind. I hated the slots, but I have honestly spent hours playing Voltorb Flip.

We have a release date via Official Nintendo Magazine. The game will come out Spring 2011 in both the U.S. and Europe. EDIT: I guess the version mascots are old news. Oops.

General enemiesThe ant enemy's Japanese name "Antotto" is OK, but I will shorten it to Antot. Goronto combines "Ground" and Antotto; Chikunto combines "Chikuchiku" (prickle) and Antotto; Dokanto combines "Dokan" (Boom) with Anttoto. I'll keep the names separate, giving us Dig Antot, Spiny Antot and Blast Antot. Personally, I'd go with Army Ant instead of Blast Ant.

GameTrailers has a new series of videos called Pop-Fiction. Basically, it's Myth Busters for video games. So far they have two episodes. The first one involves finding Chris Houlihan's room in A Link to the Past. In the second, they see if it's possible to jump over the flag pole in Super Mario Bros. I wonder what else they'll do? Rumors about Luigi in SM64 as well as the Triforce in Ocarina of Time were pretty prevalent.

I thought I'd mention Pac-Man Battle Royale. As far as I know, it's only been shown at Amusement Expo 2010. With the state of arcades the way they are, I doubt many of will play it. It seems like a good candidate for a downloadable title, though.

I wonder in early technical limitations have anything to do with this. I know that even today, developers make things to be used in games a power of two to avoid problems.
