I see all these predictions for the next-gan consels and they always say PS3 best Rev 9%. Heres how I see it
X-Box 360-This one will do the worst. X-Box is beat in both the Hardware and the Software.Al;so Its the only one that wont have Backwards-compadibility. Microsoft said it will be compatible with the Top selling games. Remakes. Also the system offers nothing that the other 2 have. Mainly its focused on-line, and with a free "level" of service. You'll have to pay if you want to really play. PS3 -If the Rev. Dosn't do the Best this will. You will be able to play all the PS game and conect with the PSP. It also offers Blu-Ray. Sadly(for it)Blu-Ray is just better DVDs so it might not be a selling point(plus it jacks up the Price, and since it has 2 500$ graphics cards expect a price range of 400$-700$. It will sell but not as much as the PS2. Revolution-Not much is known. You can play your old GCN games and can download NES,SNES and N64, this may steal older gamers from Sony and Microsoft. The controller may be the BIG GUN. I could change gaming forever, or not, this will affect its sales. And it may run fo 200$-300$. Its cons arn't so bad No Hi-def and weaker power might not effect it in the long run. As long as it has a goosd launch line up, it will do fine.
I posted this because I think the ppl making up these number dont think. The NGC had alot of problems. The first 3 consels sold well, why wont the 5th. I think these ppl only look at the last 6 months. So tell me what you think.

I've been through all this before with the N64/Saturn/PSX, and again with the GC/DC/PS2/XB... I'm not that eager to partake in the mudslinging match again.
Basically, Sony and Microsoft are either bending truths or flat out lying... while Nintendo is remaining characteristically tight-lipped. In my eyes it's too early to get over-excited about any of the next gen consoles - because you either can't trust what's being said, or you don't actually know anything.
I'm looking forward to finding out what the Revolution can really do - but all these suggestions that companies aren't including it in their future gaming plans leads me to believe what I was worried about all along: the Revolution controller and possibly even its graphical ability prevent it from competing on even ground with the PS3 and X-Box 360. Not because they don't know anything - Reggie has said certain developers have seen what it is all about - so perhaps they're actually scared away from supporting it.
After all, the DS works because it's a portable system with options for 2D or 3D support. Will the Revolution have the same level of attention?

For me personally, theres a 100% chance I'll get a Rev and, at this point, a 50% chance I'll grab an X360 (depends - if the Rev is so different that it can't have multiplatofrm games, or if Rare announce Banjo Threeie, I'll almost definately grab a 360). But thats all from my personal opinion at this point - its impossbile to say which is 'best', and even more impossible (if thats possible ....wow I need a thesaurus) to say it when we know nothing about the Rev. If it really is revolutionary, then it could very well make first place - if it isn't, then I doubt much will change.
Has it been confirmed that the 360 will/wont be backwards compatible? This will be a major point in whether I buy it or not.

PS3 - barely any games... dildo-shaped controller, from a company known to make cheap products (cheap as in poorly made) 360 - another cheap PC... hooray. Revolution - Great games announced, all that awesome downloading.. INCLUDING SATTELAVIEW AND 64DD GAMES And backwards compatibility with the GCN.

Well... that's odd. Last I checked Nintendo had only mentioned a couple of games they were working on, and suggested SOME classic games MAY be downloadable. Sure, at some point we may have access to the full back catalogue, but nobody has come out and said the 64DD and Satellaview games will be available at all. Additionally, the games available may be restricted to certain regions if the servers are regional as well. I like the idea of making classic games available by buying other games, like the Stars Catalogue... but we really don't know enough. Meanwhile, the X-Box 360 is looking like it has a healthy lineup of games on it, and a healthy level of online support. Of all three, Microsoft is the best poised to give us an idea of what we can expect from our consoles in the near future... while Nintendo is the worst poised. Of course I'm looking forward to the Revolution... but I'm looking forward to actually finding something out about it first

I read somewhere that it was including the Sattelaview and 64DD titles.
The only upcoming game on the 360 that's getting any hype is Halo 3, and I know... as many people here agree with me, Halo 3 is just gonna be crap, like the first two.

Kameo: Elements of Power and Perfect Dark Zero have been getting a lot of attention... and last I checked the 360 had more games announced for it than the other two combined. And being the first to be released... I'm not necessarily rooting for Microsoft, but I hope they knock Sony down a peg or two

^It'll probably play JPN titles. Kameo: Elements of Power and Perfect Dark Zero have been getting a lot of attention... and last I checked the 360 had more games announced for it than the other two combined. And being the first to be released... I'm not necessarily rooting for Microsoft, but I hope they knock Sony down a peg or two They might have more games announced... but that's because they're coming out early, so they need a big roster of games. Even if they do got many games... that doesn't make them good.

I didn't say they were, but nevertheless it's a strong start for a console to have that kind of lineup ready for launch. PS3 will no doubt have games ready... but Revolution is already having developers move AWAY from it... RE5, EA Games...
Worried? I am.
And not being of the "All games on other systems are lame" mind, I can honestly say Kameo and PDZ are looking pretty damn cool. Nobody can judge whether Halo 3 will be sucky or not yet, because nobody's seen it... that's a pretty decent lineup right there - definitely enough to put a meaty dent in Sony's market share, if MS plays its cards right.
Nintendo... well... I'm waiting to see what they're up to. But Online SSB is nothing to be sniffed at... so long as they do a better job of offering variety to the first-party lineup... a few original properties, some large adventures, RPGs... you know the drill. I love Nintendo's existing character sets, but where's my opportunity to love all-new ones?

PS3: Shows you how much work Sony put into the name for thier new machine. It's a wonder that they can come up with any original game titles!

Its not that they aren't creative, its just that the name 'playstation' is now the word mostly common used to replace 'console', sorta like how most people would say 'nintendo' back in their prime, regardless of what console you were actually playing.
IMO, Xbox 360 is the worst name (knowing that Revolution is a tentative name, if that was the real one I wouldn't be all that impressed).

At least people still refer to every handheld in existence as "Game Boy"

True. I know that when some older person asked me what I was playing when I was using my cousin's DS (before it came out here), it was easier to say "a new gameboy" because it meant they knew what I was talking about and would leave me alone.
