I played most of Mario & Luigi on the GB Player, aside from when I was away from the house. GB Player is probably the best variation of Game Boy. Rumble support plus all functions of GBA... great! Only if you don't mind the border.

I'd have to say GBA SP beats GB player. Sure, the GBP has rumble plus all the functions of a GBA.... except one - the most important one - portability. The GBP is great, but playing GB games on the go is (approximately) 88,964,080.43 times better.
And of course SP > the orginal GBA. So, for me, personally, GBASP is the best Gameboy variant. Last would probably be.... I'm not sure. I keep thinking Micro, but I'll have to get my hands on it, it might actually be rather comfortable.

Other than the great Famicom controller colour, I can't think of any advantage. It doesn't even play GB games! (How can it bear the Game Boy name?) I keep thinking Micro, but I'll have to get my hands on it, it might actually be rather comfortable. I tried to hold my phone with both hands... but surely it doesn't comfort me too much. It makes me feel strange.

And of course SP > the orginal GBA. So, for me, personally, GBASP is the best Gameboy variant. Especially since it has a backlit screen (useful for playing in bed!!). Although the battery doesn't last as long as a regular GBA, with the light on.
