Currently in my game stack are three games across three systems. - Captain toad: Treasure Tracker
Currently at early Episode 3, so I guess I'm about 40% done. It's a nice little game that's far less frustrating than Super Mario 3D World in the sense that I don't lose often (which leads to resets because 3D Mario from Galaxy 1 to 3D World have death counters that I wish to keep at zero) and don't have to worry about the timer. - The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
The game isn't mine (my cousin lent me this), and I haven't started. I didn't buy it because I thought I wouldn't have enough time, but if I end up liking it, maybe I'll consider buying it for real. - Kirby Battle Deluxe
Haven't started playing. I did get the free 3DS theme, though. It's a 2D game, so I actually thought about skipping it, but it's also the first time Kirby can use abilities in 3D space. Kirby with 3D control remains a novelty, but maybe they'll make a more serious game once they're confortable with it.

Top 150, baby.
Still playing Xenoblade 2. Like the original, it's kind of a convoluted mess, but there's still something fun and compelling about it. I think I'm still on chapter 3.
Haven't started the Champions' Ballad in Breath of the Wild, yet, but I have gotten all the extra armor.

Still playing Xenoblade 2 almost obsessively. I'm on chapter 7, and have put about 85 hours into it. The story actually moves along pretty quickly when I actually follow it, but I keep putting it off for extended periods to do side quests and stuff.
Thinking back to the days of the Operation Rainfall campaign and finally playing through the original, it seems a little crazy that I'm playing the sequel right now.
I'm also still working on the Champions' Ballad in Breath of the Wild. I've finished three of the champions' quests, and will work on Mipha's next. I've been taking my time with it, and not using teleporting very much.
Actually, the two games make an interesting contrast to each other. Breath of the Wild was designed around making the open world fun to traverse, while the open world in Xenoblade 2 feels more like it's just a place to put things. There are times when I wish I could climb on things and glide through the air like I can in Breath of the Wild, but it very much feels like the original Xenoblade and isn't really anything more than that.
Also, Breath of the Wild focuses on quiet isolation, whereas in Xenoblade 2, you've always got several characters following you around, and they're constantly talking (especially in battle).
Not that I necessarily consider that a bad thing, as I generally like the cast of characters, and I think they play off each other very well. In fact, I think I find the cast in XC2 overall to be more endearing than the original (despite that I think I still like Shulk better than Rex).

I have recently began playing Super Mario Sunshine again. I remember it being a lot harder than this, but I'm having a great time of reliving the Gamecube era, which made me think of this forum again.
Sunshine isn't quite up there with Super Mario 64, Super Mario World or Mario 3, but Fludd is certainly an interesting concept. Some of those "platforming" segments are brutal though. There's still some nostalgia for this game. I remember back in the day I was a bit disappointed with it not being more like Mario 64, but when playing it again, I do remember how much fun I actually did have with it when it came out.
I guess it lacks some variation though, in Mario 64 we got snow, lava, dessert, underwater, mountain etc. levels, but here everything is based around a tourist resort. It does work, but I can't help but miss the variety of Mario 64 a bit. Most of the levels are fun however. I really think the Sirena Beach with its hotel is fun, and Ricco Harbor is another great level. Others are a bit boring though, such as the beach level (forgot its name) and the Pianta village. I also didn't quite enjoy Yoshi in this game. He feels a bit like an afterthought that was put in at the last minute, and I'm not having too much fun with the segments where you need Yoshi.
Overall though, it's a great game, and I'm having fun most of the time. Some difficult parts can be frustrating, but that is due to pure challenge. A few times did the camera ruin it for me, but nowhere near as much as in Mario 64.

Finally finished the Champions' Ballad in Breath of the Wild and got my motorcycle. There isn't really much use for it at this point, tho, but it's fun to drive it around and occasionally send Link flying by jamming head-on into a tree or something. Still playing Xenoblade 2, and at about 139 hours, I think I've officially surpassed the amount of time I spent on the original game. I've been sitting at the start of Chapter 9 for a long time now, mainly working on side quests and affinity charts, but I should get back to the story for a bit. Also, started a new game of Freedom Planet. The Wii U version was finally updated to match the current PC version, so now I can play through Milla's story mode. It's nice that the developers didn't forget about us Wii U owners.

Playing Mario Odyssey. I got a Switch with some of my tax returns and I'm loving it so far!

I've been starting to play games I previously bought but did not have the chance to play. I started Atelier Lydie & Suelle. The only things I can say thus far is that both the graphics and frame rate look horrible. I only played for about 1.5 hours, and it looks like a pretty simple crafting-oriented RPG to me thus far. It also has 5.9 GB worth of free DLC (music from previous games) I also borrowed a PS4 from my cousin (so yeah, that's my solution to that) and bought a copy of Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Future Tone DX. The PS4 is both better and worse than the other systems I have (more on that in a later post), and PD FT DX is exactly what I think it is. Setting aside the fact that it has 238 songs and a very high difficulty it's not as good as mirai DX as both a game and a Hatsune Miku tribute. It's the kind of game I'd get if I have the system, but I wouldn't buy a new system for it. I also don't have any other PS4 games I'm interested in besides Project DIVA X HD. I don't have time to discover even more new series anyway. Oh, I also haven't started Metroid: Samus Returns. And I've completely stopped playing Zelda BotW because of all these other games. Playing Mario Odyssey. I got a Switch with some of my tax returns and I'm loving it so far! Good to see more people getting the Switch! Please add us to your friend list if you feel like to (you could import them from the 3DS or Wii U from the Switch's settings menu, or use good ol' Friend Codes). Not that it's actually useful for anything.

I finally went back and finished Ys Seven in anticipation of Ys VIII. I did manage to get every character to learn every weapon skill, although it really didn't end up being necessary in any way, and I'd never bother to do it again in a future playthrough. Also did a quick, impromptu playthrough of Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap in anticipation of Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom. (Can it be summer already so all the games I want can start coming out?) I'm still playing Xenoblade 2, but more sporadically. I'll probably get back into it more once the update is (finally) released this Friday. I started Atelier Lydie & Suelle. The only things I can say thus far is that both the graphics and frame rate look horrible. I only played for about 1.5 hours, and it looks like a pretty simple crafting-oriented RPG to me thus far. It also has 5.9 GB worth of free DLC (music from previous games) Do you like it? I've never played an Atelier game before, and I've been looking into action-RPGs for Switch lately. This one seems like kind of a "budget" game, tho.

Atelier is a menu-based combat/collection RPG series, not an ARPG.
As for whether I like it, I can't tell now. I'm at the beginning of Chapter 2, and I don't know what's the total length of this game. I'm a bit annoyed by the story (specifically, the protagoinst twins' father; he's voiced by Takehito Koyasu but has this "incompetent father" feel), but it remains to be seen how will it unfold. I also only took part in just 1 tutorial-ish battle.
I guess you can still get it if you just want to try another RPG, but don't expect much. The 8000-yen DLC probably isn't worth it either, given the base game's already shaky quality.
I originally bought it as some sort of thanks to KOEI TECMO GAMES for making FE Warriors, but I couldn't find anything from Omega Force or Team Ninja that I would potentally like, so I got Atelier from Gust. Like most other games I got for similar reasons, I didn't really expect anything.

Atelier is a menu-based combat/collection RPG series, not an ARPG. Ah, I guess I wasn't paying close attention. For some reason, I thought it had real-time combat. Maybe I was confusing it with Nights of Azure 2. Shining Resonance Refrain also caught my eye, but that's scheduled for the summer, so it'll likely be close to the release of Ys VIII. The only other major action-RPG on Switch right now is Skyrim, but I'll probably just stick with Xenoblade.

General non-update. Typing this because I'm kind of bored. - I downloaded Dedede's Drum Dash Deluxe as a My Nintendo birthday month discount. This game is rather difficult, but I'd have known from the original Drum Dash. I cleared all stages, but perfected only level 4 (in my first try).
- I also downloaded the Twilight Princess Picross as a My Nintendo reward. I didn't have enough Platinum Points, but the ones I had would expire this month, so I played just enough FE Heroes to cover it. Haven't started playing yet.
(EDIT β Okay, just tried it, and I can say TP Picross is horrible. I've played Picross for YEARS, I don't need your forced tutorial.) - Of the games I'm actively playing, I've cleared most History Mode missions in Fire Emblem Warriors except the DLC2 and DLC3 Anna maps. I have to bring my characters to higher levels first; besides Elise (level 145), all of my other characters are below level 130, and I can't use Elise in those Anna maps.
- Currently at the start of Chapter 4 in Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings. I'm going through the story while ignoring much of the sidequests. It's probably still too early for me to really talk about this game, but it feels casual so far.
- I'm still waiting for the next update of Kirby Star Allies. I could finish the other Dream Friends' Guest Star runs, but I'd save those for when I need more puzzle pieces for the illustrations.
- Still playing Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Future Tone DX. I can perfect a few of the β7.5 songs now.
- Same for Hatsune Miku: Project mirai DX, although I wasn't able to break my records for a while. I was hoping playing FT DX would somehow help me play mirai.
- Games I never got to play: Metroid: Samus Returns, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X HD. Don't think I'll have a chance to play these soon, especially since I plan to buy Tropical Freeze (wanted the Wii U version, found no stock, didn't want the download version).

Another not-quite-update. - Twilight Princess Picross β Finished Mega Picross and 80*80 Picross. Don't know if I'll bother with the normal Picross mode, since the puzzles are the same as those in Mega Picross.
- Fire Emblem Warriors β Got S rank in all History Mode missions, and obtained all badges. I still haven't maxed out the support levels of the DLC characters, but I stopped caring because there's no other goals to go after.
- Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings β Currently at Chapter 10 (out of 11). And like all those RPGs I've played, I got addicted to it very quickly. It's got some really good storytelling (from my perspective), and I found myself wanting to see the story move foward as soon as I got to the second half of the game. I may talk more about it in a separate thread later.
- Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze β Bought the Switch version, saw the ending, and my goal is to unlock and finish Secret Seclusion (get all KONG letters, then finish the K stages on each island). I don't care about the puzzle pieces for the most part, and I don't plan to even try Hard Mode and Time Trial.
Otherwise, I haven't touched any other game this month. Most of the time I'm just getting way too immersed in Atelier.

Picked up Banjo-Tooie on the N64. First time I've played it since release. I still dig it!

Just began to play Donkey Kong 64 again, haven't played it for many years. I still enjoy it, even though there's some annoyances with the massive collection quest. It's not really the collecting itself that annoys me, but rather the sluggish mechanics where you have to change the Kong so frequently and backtracking way too much. Having played Banjo-Tooie a while ago, DK64 comes out being very flawed in comparison. I believe that a lot of the problems of DK64 was taken into consideration with Banjo-Tooie, because that just feels like a more well-balanced game.
But I'm still having a fun time playing through it, so I would say that, DK64, while it has its flaws, doesn't deserve a lot of the hate it's been getting.

I totally agree. I'll eventually right out some full thoughts on DK64- I feel it's become a super underrated game.
I'm taking a break from Tooie, waiting for a hdmi adapter. A podcast I dig covered the Tupac/Biggie murders and taht got me in the mood to go revisit GTA San Andreas in the meantime, and man alive. That game holds up great.
