That's because Australia they have the same (PAL) version of the games as in Europe, including French, Germam, Spain and Italian language options. They should just release an English-only version in the Netherlands, the UK and Australia. Let the others wait for their translated games.

Yes, I understand it takes time to translate games - but Nintendo of Europe now has a dedicated army for translation to keep them up to date. They translate directly from the Japanese now as well, rather than waiting for the US release.
So why oh why do they do so well, and then suddenly fall so far behind like they're doing at the moment. In 2003-04 we were miles ahead in terms of GBA games and DS games. GC was finally catching up too. So why the sudden drop-off? I'll be honest - it's quite sad to see.
And by the time MPH comes out next week, everyone in the US will be so good at the game there really is no point me playing it online until I've finished the single-player game (which is what I did with Mario Kart DS, and I still lose frequently... some people just weren't built for competitive play).

I thought PAL only applied to televisions. That'd make a difference for the Gamecube, but it shouldn't affect the DS releases.

If we get the same translated versions, why would we get the game first? Maybe since DS versions are region-free, maybe we get the US versions if the EU versions are running late...

Haha... NTSC... NSTC stands for Nintendo Software Technology Corporation. Not quite the same thing
