The problem is, I want to have this, but I'm not living in Japan, and any auction that I can get (if that's even possible) will probably be at an incredibly high price. Do you guys think if I can ever get this thing? Or will you just ask me to give up?

I believe that with a little extra cash and determination you will get this. It is from a catalogue and I dont think they will be in short supply in Japan so I wouldnt be surprised if we saw a few copies floating around on auction sites.
I think if you really want it you should go for it but as you said, it might be more than a usual DS game and it is gonna be in Japanese.

That's pretty cool. Will it be every Game and Watch game ever, or just a limited number like the Gallery games? Looks like it's just three dual-screen Game & Watch games. Doesn't mean to say there aren't more on the cart, but because it's a special edition gift game, I'd be surprised if there were any more on there. Donkey Kong, Oil Panic and Greenhouse, in case you were wondering! |

I'm quite surprised that some of you are actually interested in the Mario hanafuda.
Anyway, according to that page, there are only 3 games. It seems that even if there are any more, they won't be avalible from the start (aka hidden games).
Actually I'm a bit disappointed at Nintendo's recent moves. Locking up something great like this, and then changing the date of Super Paper Mario... I wonder what the next move is...

Well, I've checked a few auction sites, but then, very few of them are selling things related to "Club Nintendo" or "Game & Watch". At least that's what I've seen on my local (Hong Kong) Yahoo auction and eBay.
Are there any other methods that you can think of?

You need to find a Japanese friend who'll get one for you and ship it over.
