You all knew this one would come along sooner or later, so here it is! Which version of the next Zelda are you opting for? Personally, I'm going for the gamecube one, just to say goodbye properly to the old girl...sniff

Reviews will probably be deciding factor if I get a Wii at launch (which all depends on money flow). If the Wii version holds up well in reviews, I'll probably go for that. Otherwise I'll go Cube.

Wii version... what better way to get started with my shiny new system? I'll get the Gamecube one when it's a bit cheaper

I totally want Zelda on my Wii! Wait, maybe I'd better rephrase that. I was planning to get a Wii at launch anyway, so why should I buy the 'Cube version? I mean, the whole appeal of the system is the unique controller. If I go out of my way to buy a particular version of the game just so it has traditional controls, then what was the point of buying the Wii in the first place? I'll embrace the future.

I totally want Zelda on my Wii! Wait, maybe I'd better rephrase that. Could have been worse. You could have wanted Tingle on your Wii

There's a couple of important factors that need to be sorted before I make my decision....
1) Does the Wii version have 'regular' controls? I'm not sure if I want to use the, lets face, clearly tacked on as an afterthought Wii controls.
2) When will they be released? If the Wii doesn't come out here before Christmas, but the Cube version does, well then I'll pick up the Cube one.

1) Does the Wii version have 'regular' controls? I'm not sure if I want to use the, lets face, clearly tacked on as an afterthought Wii controls. I'm not too sure about that. I mean sure, it seems like they just threw the controls in there to make it Wii compatible, but at the same time... it HAS been continuously delayed by up to a year. That's a lot of tweaking-time. Plus, Nintendo wants to prove that traditional games work with Wii controls to ensure everyone jumps on board with their traditional series. What better way to achieve this than with Zelda - one of the most traditional game series in existence? Oh, and they should both be out on the same day... Wii launch day. Wiiiii!

I was under the impression that the Cube and the Wii version were to be released on the same day. OH, and I voted for the Gamecube version. EDIT Aw wait, Fryguy just said that didn't he?

I've had the reserve of the Cube version for a long, long time. Along with that, I do want the traditional controls over the Wii system, since they have been in place a lot longer. I would be all over a Zelda designed from the ground up for the Wii, but TP wasn't. It's a Cube game first and foremost. Prime 3 excites me. Mario Galaxy excites me. Smash Bros. Brawl excites me. Zelda: TP for the Wii doesn't. *shrugs*

Oh, and they should both be out on the same day... Wii launch day. Wiiiii! But if Australia wasn't included in the worldwide launch, and didn't make it out this year (I hope it will be, and I think it will be, but there's definately a chance that it wont)? Would Nintendo still go "lets hold off Twilight Princess for Cube until the Wii launch", or would they maybe decide to give the fanboys TP for Christmas to shut them up, and, perhaps, use Super Mario Galaxy or something as the premier launch title? I can't see it happening, but maybe. But then, on the other hand, if the Wii isn't out here at Christmas, that would probably be the final straw for me anyway, and I'd just import a US Wii. So I guess it wouldn't really matter. And as for the controls, yeah, maybe. I'm still sceptical about the whole thing, though.
