This is one of Nintendo's few original Flash games, but not too original, because it's very similar to the Mario series. It is part of Nintendo of Europe. It is called Mission in Snowdriftland. The protagonist of this Flash game is Chubby Snow. CLICK HERE TO PLAYPerhaps this Flash game needs to be preserved, or it would be gone forever.

That's definately one of, if not the best flash game I've ever played! Shame it'll probably be gone forever once Christmas ends... And we'll probably never see Chubby again.
Does anybody know if collecting all the snowflakes does anything?

Finally, SSB has a story. They're all members of Upixo! This is an excellent game. I wish I had a controller to play it with.

How the hell can that high snowflake be grabbed? >_< I feel so post-80s.
Did Nintendo create Mr. Chubby Snow, or did Nintendo only develop the game?

How the hell can that high snowflake be grabbed? >_< I feel so post-80s. Did Nintendo create Mr. Chubby Snow, or did Nintendo only develop the game? The Flash game was created by Nintendo and Extra Toxic, but I'm not sure who created Mr. Chubby Snow. Everyone also needs to use Way Back Machine to take other interesting Flash games created by Nintendo, like the Mario Party 2 - Melon Mayhem game. EDIT: Hold it! The Way Back Machine hasn't saved anything from the Flash game's web site. We need to save the entire web site into .zip or .rar files, and upload them into a mirror web site, so that it can perhaps last forever. We also can do the same thing to other Nintendo web sites. AND REMEMBER! If you collect all of the crystals in the Flash game, you unlock a special bonus download. AND ANOTHER THING! This Flash game will be shut down on January 14TH, 2007.

So, what was the reward for beating every single level in the game? Did anyone bother to unlock it?

So, what was the reward for beating every single level in the game? Did anyone bother to unlock it? It's available for download at the Wikipedia article for this Flash title. The special download is actually some icons and some wallpapers.

Who's Chubby the Snowman, anyway?
I think this would be an EXCELLENT addition to the Virtual Console with a few minor changes (scoring, speed, graphic smoothing for large TVs, and controls)

No, the game requires button input.

The folks at Opera should allow people to bind keyboard keys to the buttons on the Wii Remote. That would be sweet.

I thought the Flash game would shut down on January 14TH, but it's still on! Right now, I'm using Screen Virtuoso, the Print Screen key, and Virtual Dub to rip the sprites, while I'm using CamStudio to record gameplay, intros, endings, and credits in all four languages, so I can let other language users see this stuff again. I already beat the game after obtaining every crystal, and you know what just happened? It allowed me to have some special contents related to the Flash game, like wallpaper, icons, and even MP3 files! I'll have to upload and add it to the Flash game's Wikipedia article, because they also have other downloads from the Flash game.

Right now, I'm using Screen Virtuoso, the Print Screen key, Virtual Dub to rip the sprites[...] Isn't there an easier way to do that? There are some SWF decompilers out there, which I believe also allow you to extract bitmap images from them.

There are some SWF decompilers out there, which I believe also allow you to extract bitmap images from them. Screen Virtuoso has a recording format called "uncompressed", which records without messing up the graphics, but it takes a lot of space in the hard drive. Virtual Dub allows me to move frame-by-frame. The Print Screen key allows me to snap a picture of the entire screen, including whatever is on Virtual Dub's preview screens. Then, I paste it to MS Paint, copy and paste a sprite into another MS Paint window, whiten the unwanted colors around the sprite, and then copy and paste it into a sprite sheet. Repeat with other sprites. Here is the special download that I was talking about. The composer of the Flash game's music was Fabian Del Priore. EDIT: Here is a tribute video I made about the Flash game.

*bump*
The web site has been updated. However, it's still not playable.
I also learned that this game isn't owned by Nintendo at all. It's owned by Extra Toxic.
