Right, here's something for those who like their Classic Nintendo lists...
What was your favourite game on the N64 that WASN'T published/distributed by Nintendo. Please note that rules out all Zelda and Mario games, as well as all Rare games (except Conker's BFD, but you can't choose that either... hahaha!)
So... what else did you like? Here's a shortlist of my own favourites:
Snowboard Kids - the Mario Kart of snowboard games. The N64 gave the game a charm that couldn't be bettered on superior hardware... which is why my heart skipped a beat when I saw a sequel was coming to the Nintendo DS.
Mystical Ninja starring Goemon - Konami's main hero sets off for an adventure that just about puts Mario to shame. It's big, it's varied, (it's pigging hard) and it's got the silliest Japanese theme songs and humour of any game I've played.
Turok: Dinosaur Hunter - the original will always be the best. Foggy backgrounds and annoying jumping sections, but ultimately this was the N64 at its early best. And the guy who was in charge of the original's development is now making the Metroid Prime games
Space Station: Silicon Valley - Crap graphics, but an awesome action-puzzle game. I played this solidly till a friend spilled coke in it...
And games I wish I'd played at the time: Buck Bumble, Tonic Trouble, Glover, the Castlevanias, and Body Harvest

And, my copy of Star Wars: Episode I Racing seems to have both the Lucas Arts logo and the Nintendo logo... what does that make it?
It makes it "Distributed Exclusively by Nintendo" - I'm not entirely sure what that means, but Nintendo did it a lot during the N64 era. The F-1 World Grand Prix games, many Rare games, two Star Wars games, and (I think) a Cruis'n game fall into that category.
If anyone knows what it means... don't hesitate to tell
Anyway, I banned all published/distributed games *desires an evil-grin smiley to add here*

Mischief Makers was published by Nintendo in the US and Europe, and by Enix in Japan. I like it, but I wish it didn't use the D-Pad... it needs such precise movements that my fingers are red-raw by the time I've done a couple of stages.
I picked up Cruis'n USA and Cruis'n World recently. Cruis'n USA was actually played a lot by my housemates at university. That was very odd. I weaned them off with a bunch of Star Wars games (Rogue Squadron and Episode I Racer dragged them free)
But the Cruis'n games were published by Nintendo, I'm afraid
Nester the Lark: Also, I know YL isn't into speedruns, but he might be interested to know that RPG Limit Break is having a Gust marathon all weekend, including several Atelier games.

nocturnal YL: Ah… Bad timing. I didn't read this until now, when it's almost over.

Nester the Lark: Well, if you're still interested, they'll be uploading the replays to their YouTube channel later this week.

Shrikeswind: I like that Mayles put her back in her kneepads. What's the last game they were in? One of the Kongas? It was a good look for her, albeit very 90's.

Shrikeswind: The jokes call to me, their siren song a temptation I can hardly bear, yet I must stay my tongue. Confound my dirty sense of humor.

Nester the Lark: The replies I see to anything Nintendo posts on Twitter are probably an indication as to why they abandoned Miiverse and decided that social media should be someone else's responsibility.

nocturnal YL: As mentioned in Twitter, I'm currently playing Atelier Meruru DX. I'm thinking about writing reviews for the Arland series afterwards, as well as making a second Nintendo Switch review video after I finish either this or my next game.

Nester the Lark: ^ I would be interested in seeing your reviews of the Arland games.

Nester the Lark: So, there's been Hyrule Warriors and Fire Emblem Warriors. But guys, how about this: Punch-out Warriors! It's like Punch-out, but you fight all of your opponents at once!

Shrikeswind: Sounds punchy, but unless it's a real knock-out I don't think it'd be a hit.
