you know those plug and play systems which you can get old atari games for? well, my brother told me there are ones which have ALL of the 8-bit NES games on them.
anyone heard of this or is it urban legend?

No, there's an illegal one with a bumload of pirated and modified NES Roms on, that for one reason or another manages to get sold in reputable areas.
It is not official, and plays like turd.

Not all Famicom game cartridges work on pirated NES/FC consoles, take a look at Famicom Jump 2 for example: It doesn't work on a Power Player, it only works on an official Famicom console. I have also seen other Plug and Play products such as Sega Genesis/MegaDrive games and other classics based on the Mega Drive versions.

I've never seen one. What "company" makes it and what is it called?
I've got the 8-Bit hook-up already, but I'd be curious to see what they look like and what games are included with it.

Precisely.
Pirates are cool, just as long as they don't make games.
Arrrr!, INTV

To be honest, I don't know. I'd have quite liked to get some details on them and their product (if nothing else, I could send it off to Nintendo and have them "sorted out") ;D
But now you mention it, I haven't seen one about for quite a few months. Maybe Nintendo got hold of them already!
Regardless, there is no official (or officially licensed) Nintendo plug and play device. A sad state of affairs, but who knows? Maybe when they stop trying to sell 20 year old games for £15 they will consider releasing a NES controller filled with the NES insides (mmm... Clu Clu Land and Balloon Fight).

I observed one of them at the mall tonight.
It was showing Ms Pac-Man (Tengen).
First off... they got the red ghost (Clyde)'s name wrong. Then it spelled "High" wrong.
Please don't tell me that isn't horrid emulation.
