I wanted to post this somewhere, and was surprised there was on thread like this already, so yeah, here we go. A place for Virtual Console discussion. You know, latest games you bought and whatnot.
Bought Paper Mario and DKC2 today. DKC2 the game, is still as good as I remember, but the Cube controller is absolutely atrocious. Makes the game basically unplayable.
And Paper Mario, well I'm just getting into it, but I'm looking forward to it.

I'm tempted to pick up Paper Mario and Air Zonk this weekend. I need more points! Hopefully, the European website will allow you to trade in Stars for Wii Points soon. The new privacy policy (that will allow this) comes into force on Sunday, so next week perhaps! I can spend the first Stars since I got the DS VIP pack. I have over 13,000 Stars now, and a load of DS and Wii games I haven't entered yet

Paper Mario is out on Virtual Console! Took 'em long enough, if you ask me, they seem to take a lot of time putting the Nintendo 64 games on VC. It can't be that hard. I mean seriously, What's with all the Turbografix?! More N64!

Ah, my bad, wasn't sure if it counted as 'classic' since it was technically Wii discussion.

I definitely want Paper Mario. Streets of Rage 2 and Final Fight. Awesome games. Just need to get some points!

The US got Paper Mario too, yesterday. Nice to see some more big N64 titles hitting the VC.

I have far too many VC games that I haven't played. D:
Yesterday I downloaded Paper Mario, only for GTA: San Andreas to wrap its sweaty, gunpowdered hands around my neck again. So I haven't gotten to that yet.
I also finally tried to seriously unlock more stages and characters in F-Zero X, only to find that I've become so rusty that I've lost all my previously acquired skill in the game. Maybe it's because I just don't have Michael Chain yet, though...oy. Earning those X-marks is going to be tough X(
Super Mario Bros. 2 is a lot of fun, although playing it here makes me wish I'd kept my copy of the GBA version. Sure the voices were annoying, but the game overall was easier to control and see.
Bonk's Adventure is fun--which startled me because I didn't think I'd get behind a Turbografix game. It's hard to get used to though; for Mario, his strength is in his feet, and for Sonic taking a shot to the upper half of his jumping ball is only partially guaranteed to kill an enemy. But for Bonk, he's completely vulnerable in the feet and can headbutt an enemy from below to kill them.
Yeesh. XD

I have loads of VC games, but I've mainly been playing Kid Icarus and Paper Mario. I've barely touched some of the MD and TGX games, which is a shame, because there's some good ones in my selection.

Heres something fun to do, if a game is out in another country on VC that you want, just go to Wii settings and change your country or whatever. Then you can see all the games that country has and buy them for your Wii. I havent tried it myself but my friend did it.

PAL gamers can swap between Australia and Europe, which grants Aussies more Turbografx games, but all spare points you had are lost in the process. Now that we are starting to get all the TG games, its not really necessary, since the Aussie dollar is better value (though I guess that could make it beneficial for the reverse to happen)

I've been playing Donkey Kong Country 2.
What would happen if your Wii crashed and you had to get a new one? Where would all of your points and games you had end up? Would you have to purchase them again?

In theory, yes, same as if you bought a replacement Wii. But I noticed Nintendo has set up a hotline for those incidents. I expect they are able to transfer the details as special requests.
