Prince Sablé (Kaeru no Tame ni Kane wa Naru) The Cheer Squad (Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan) I was under the impression that the Prince had no name. FryGuy? And I believe the members of the Cheer Squads are: Easy Mode - Tanaka Hajime (leader), Saitou, Suzuki Normal Mode - Ryuta (leader), Saitou, Suzuki Hard Mode - Kai (leader), Saitou, Suzuki Very Hard Mode - Amemiya Sayaka (leader), Kanda Aoi, Anna Lindhurst

The prince from Kaeru no Tameni is not called Prince Sablé on the Japanese Nintendo website. He's just "the prince".
Additionally, and I can't believe how often I have to say this.... THE BOXER IN SUPER PUNCH-OUT!! IS NOT LITTLE MAC!!! ARRRRGH!!!
I may not have played Ossu! Tatakae! Ouenden!! But it looks awesome, and I LOVE the shouting!

THE BOXER IN SUPER PUNCH-OUT!! IS NOT LITTLE MAC!!! ARRRRGH!!! Why did I call him Prince Sablé, here is the reason why. And according to EA's Fight Night Round 2, they called the Super Punch-Out!! character Little Mac. Click these two links: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Little_Mactspogilm.ytmnd.com/

Did a little bit of research, and I'm sorry to say that Prince Sable is not his name. It is a mis-translation.
He is Prince OF Sable. Sable is a kingdom. Still... Prince of Sable is a better name than just "Prince".
As for Fight Night Round 2 - I am fully aware of that fact, and I stand firmly by the fact that EA got it wrong as well. After all, it wouldn't be the first time EA has completely messed up the facts behind a franchise. Don't get me started on what's wrong with the James Bond games...

I stand by my Prince of Sable comment, but your evidence does seem to be piling up

They obviously don't look the same, but it's believed that he is for the sole reason of SPO!! being the sequel to PO!!.

The original arcade games came before the NES game, and neither of them were called Little Mac either.
Little Mac was the only named boxer.

Mother 3 is the sequel to Mother 2. Therefore the character in Mother 3 must be Ness, even if they don't look the same. Can't a game character simply not have a name? I mean, what was the right pong paddle called? The octopus like space invader? etc, etc.

What if the prince was named after the place he lives, or what if the place he lives in was named after him? And what about his first default name? Ask Tomato at Starmen.Net, he might know. For Little Mac, this example is non-Nintendo related, but it recently happened: I believe Nintendo put the blonde-haired boxer in Fight Night Round 2, because they are sticking with the makeover of Little Mac from now on, and I'm sure they will put him in SSBR.And I doubt it was EA's responsibility for calling the blonde, Little Mac. These trailers will make you believe me: xbox360.ign.com/objects/771/771985.htmlAlso, have you checked in the Super Punch-Out!! instruction manual for Little Mac's name to appear in it?

Can't a game character simply not have a name? I mean, what was the right pong paddle called? The octopus like space invader? etc, etc. It can, and it would be another reason to make people believe this kind of things. The Mother 3 boy surely has a name, so there's no way one can say he's Ness.
