Onigiri and the rest are playable characters from the japan only Wrecking Crew 98.
G&W may not be a Mario character but he has close ties with him as all the G&W Gallery games star Mario and co.

I love that this is basically the entire Mario camp for spin-off titles And the symbols for each character are top-notch; some are downright clever.

Those symbols essentially mean that any Mario character is legal tender for the next Mario Party title, assuming it still features the "claim your own spaces" feature.

I just noticed that every Mario character has his or her own symbol. It is seen not only in Mario Party but in Mario Kart, Mario Tennis (on the rackets), and much much more. Some of these emblems weren't my own ideas some of them are official.

I already knew that, and I assumed those emblems that appear in those games you mentioned were the reason you even used them in the first place.

Excellent stuff...most of those guys I don't recognize, and I think that's a good thing, since you were trying to represent forgotten oldies. XD;

From what he said, this list is supposed to be characters who had major roles in a Mario Game. Hence the only non-Mario characters possible are R.O.B. from Mario Kart DS; Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Blinky, and Mametchi from Mario Kart Arcade GP 2; Final Fantasy's Ninja, White Mage, Black Mage, Moogle, and Cactuar from Mario Hoops; and possibly any playable characters and bosses from Mario & Sonic, and Super Smash Bros. if he considers them Mario games.

The only non-Mario characters I'm excepting are the ones that were playable characters in Mario games only. Super Smash Bros. is not a "Mario game" so I won't be making any non-Mario characters from that game. So yeah SAMaine is right.

Do you have a reason not to do non-mario characters?

I'm pretty sure because it's his own project he can set up his own rules on the matter. Just like how Nintendo All-Stars is just for Nintendo characters. I could do Sonic or Snake, or even go nuts and do characters that have appeared on Nintendo consoles, but that would defeat the point.
PS. Yes, I am working on them still.

Hence why I added the modifier... Some less-knowledgable people consider Smash as one of the better Mario Spin-off Multiplayer games, while I personally consider it more of a General Nintendo Crossover project, even with Snake and Sonic who are STILL referred to as guest fighters and are basically honorary Smash Bros.
Personally, about the only Mario Spin-Off Multiplayer Games I care about are Mario Kart and Dr. Mario.
